I'm putting in a Metra Axxess steering wheel control with a Pioneer x920.

There is a chasis ground wire on the OEM factory radio harness (2007 MZ3 GT with Bose - no nav). It is a thick black wire with green stripe.

Is it alright to connect the points of this install that need a "chasis ground" to this wire? I don't know where it terminates, but it is labelled chasis ground on the wiring chart from what I recall.

If not, how about the bolt that holds the shifter assembly (auto trans) to the chasis under the drink holders? There is also the airbag control which is bolted to the chasis, but I'm not a fan of connecting anything to the airbag control.

thanks.

Yes you can. Bolt for selector assembly can be used too ,there is a potential problem if for any reason the assembly will be taken off and someone trying to listen the music.I see you have started this work. Don’t forget that 1A, 1C, 1D, 1F, 1S, 1U, 1V, 1X are low inputs for bose amp and you have to connect them thru a LOC only.
