I get my first Mazda tomorrow evening! Yeah, I am excited! Its the Mazda 3 GT luxury package....i didn't get the Bose/push start package. I chose the Aluminum silver colour. I can't wait to get it. I was a proud Honda Accord customer. I had teh car for 12 years and it was a solid good car. I *was* going to get another Accord but I wanted something more fun and less luxury. I hope the Mazda doesn't let me down.

What a great board this is...i discovered it yesterday. I may have questions later. :)

Welcome aboard! And yes, there is a LOT of info already posted here. Try using the search function - although I've found a time or two when I had to tweak my search terms extra hard. So keep persevering! :)

Depends on how many tickets you want to receive on a regular basis. ;)

I'd be more concerned with not being able to see at night.

Welcome. Could you tell us how it compares to you Accord in terms of driving, speed and feel. I was thinking of getting an Accord but after test driving it I didn't like the interior (hasn't seemed to change in years). Also didn't like their sales tactics. Anyway love my GT. Enjoy!

I picked up the car last night, after the rain. I was a lil nervous...but very excited. As I drove the old Accord in for a trade in...the last song on the radio came on "Don't you forget about me" by Simple Minds. I got a lil sad for the old car. It was a good car....but it was time...i was concerned going into another winter. I drove the car in today. Its awesome. The colour, the ride! The only thing i wish i had was a small compartment to put my work pass car and home keys in it. Maybe there is some where, i just haven't found it yet.

Jackal, I did go and see the Accords and they are nice. Very nice. I was contemplating Luxury for Fun. And it was back and forth for a week. My last car was the Accord...it was a solid car but i never really "loved" it. I didn't want to get another Accord...then 2 years later think "what if". I think that is what made my decision. The Accord, is great for a family, which I don't have. It had such a smooth ride. I found the Mazda 3 GT to be similar. The price was another thing...I find Hondas overpriced.

Compartment left of the steering wheel, near the bottom; above the switch to pop the hood. Items in there will not fall out unless you drive like a maniac or store money there (don't store money there). You can store coins in the compartment right of heated seat switches. There is a 12 volt connector in there, but you can get an OEM cover for it for about $5 - that will prevent pennies from getting jammed in the 12 volt jack. I can store $10-$15 in loonies/toonies in there no problem.
+1 on that hard to find mini compartment left of the steering wheel. Thanks for the feedback on the Accord.
