Hi guys, are there any good shops (read reasonable and professional) in the North GTA area that do carbon fibre wrap installs ? I have the kitchy Carbon stuff ready (looks workable), but feel it is "screw upable" enough that I am considering biting the bullet and forking out to get a proper install for a few outside pieces and a few inside pieces.
(I can't afford real carbon fibre bits)
Thanks for any help you can send.

Shinzo is in Markham, though more north east, 9th Line and 16th. Or you can also make an appointment with SecheMedia.
id try it out on something small, i did some stuff with the 3m and i was really worried but its so easy to work with. You might be surprised at how easy it is to work with.

*grin* Oh you skilled people. Ok, well my next question is, how easy is it to rip out the top pieces of dash. I am remarkably familiar with tearing out the glovebox and stereo and HVAC and even the top vent piece in the middle. However, I have yet to tear up the two top dash pieces. Can you direct me to a thread for that, or give me suggestions ? (I will also go digging on my own and if I find something I will post) Thanks for any help guys. My mazda is looking more spooky bling as we speak with all the advice. ;P
lol i can assure you iam not skilled at all and i have no patience. i mean zero. my girlfriend actually voices her concern about this lots lmao
its suuuuuuuuuuuper easy!!!

Yes, girlfriends are an enigma, but so is taking off my top dash pieces. *grin* And at least I can go at those with a phillips screwdriver and not go to jail. Any ideas what screws to remove and what plastic clamps there are ?

Ok, I fiddled with the carbon fibre vinyl and made a royal mess of things. Fortunately, I practiced on a small piece and didn't waste much at all. Granted I may have chosen a tough piece (the little plastic piece in the corner of the passenger and drivers side window that holds the tweeters for the stereo) to start on, but I really have no idea. Anyway, the rest of the carbon wrap will arrive in a couple weeks and I was hoping to line up an installer, ANY installer as long as they really know what they are doing. I will even do the tear away and bring the parts. (at least the ones I can get off)
Anyone ? Bueller ? Bueller ?
I emailed Shinzo and they haven't said boo back yet. I will try SecheMedia next, but if anyone does this stuff well out of their garage that is cool too.
id just give shinzo a call, I emailed them but i also got no reply. everyone agrees to just call em

JP's TOP 5 Learn By Doing and F'ing up DiNoc Lessons ! :bang :rant
1) Heat is your friend and your enemy. A heat gun makes the DiNoc super mailable & stretchy for getting around curves with no bunching but too much heat makes it lose the embossed carbon fibre print (and nothing can get it back short of tearing your DiNoc out and getting a new piece on).
2) Don't cut the extra around the edge if at all possible until you are done spreading the whole piece down. The stretchiness of the DiNoc when it is heated means your initial cut may be completely wrong when you move on to finish the remaining area.
3) Do the install in a heated area or else the DiNoc seizes up really quickly after you apply the heat gun (at least in early November outside)
4) 3M Primer is necessity in curved areas
5) Patience is key young Jedi !!!

Note: Shinzo is not doing DiNoc anymore. I went by their office and they said that it was too much of a pain with the callbacks for tiny fixes and such.
