I observed today morning while cleaning the trunk, that when i use the "trunk open" switch on my key or the switch near the driver seat, the trunk opens, but i hear 2 clicks...i thought earlier i used to hear only 1 click.
Additionally when I close the lid of the trunk (not all the way to engage the lock) just to cover, it keeps a bit of gap (which is normal). But earlier i could just press the trunk door from that half closed position to close it completely(to engage the lock).
But today i observed that i cant close the trunk completely from that half closed position. if i press the door, the lock wont engage. I have to open the trunk door all the way again and bang to close it completely.
What could be wrong? i was trying to understand what is wrong. when i click the fob key to open and swing the door open, i hear something moving inside the door...as if small piece of something is loose in the door and moving around.
Not sure if that was always there and i dint closely notice/hear until today when i discovered the locking problem.
Any idea is there an issue with the trunk locking mechanism ?
