Anyone know what the tollerences are for run out on the front rotors of the Mazda 3? How about the minimum thickness?
Joe had told me it used to be stamped onto the rotor itself but the new ones don't seem to have.
I know you can normally get away with one turning before they are garbage and it varies based on the condition of the rotor and the KM's.

Anything over .005 is hard to machine out. I think the min thickness is 21mm but, thats off the top of my head.
A Lot of times its just cheaper and easier to put new rotors on anyhow

Thanks for the reply. Anyone with the shop manuals or Chilton's that can confirm the Minimum thickness?

Thanks guys. Good info for reference down the road when you're told you need to replace when actually you don't.
