Ive bent my front strut (yea i know.....) and ive got basically two choices now. I either A) buy a single front strut and replace it (maybe even goto a wrecker and just get one there). Or B) I buy all new struts and shocks since im dumped on sportlines anyways and it will serve me better and the ride is getting awfully rough lately anyways.

So the question here is, what aftermarket struts/shocks would i be looking at. IO was thinking Konis....not sure on the details. Any other options, and pricing would help too. Not looking to completley break the bank here.

Koni Yellows are popular, if you're looking for a cheaper alternative, KYB GR-2's are pretty cheap, iirc, cheaper than OEM :p

Konis will probably serve you better than OEM because you are on Sportlines.

A lot of people have had trouble with gr2's and lowering their cars. If you plan on lowering consider a proper lowering shock/strut.

I'm on GR2s and Prokits. So far it seems ok.

my car already is lowered. Like I said, my strut is bent and needs to be replaced.

Anyways, any links to people who sell the konis or KYB?

I would think having left/right matched would make sense... otherwise the car might not sit level.............

Both Nextmod and Garage16 carry both of them.

I understand your post, perfectly clearly. My point is that if you get gr2's you will very likely have issues. As you have clearly restated you are lowered; my advice is that you invest in struts/shocks designed for lowering.

GR2's are not designed for slammed cars. You can prolly get away with a mild drop (eg prokit), but definately not Sportlines. Look into getting the yellows. It will ride better and last much longer...
