Well now since I've gotten my FMIC I'd like to paint my valve cover with black bbq paint. If I take the cover off to paint it, will I need a new gasket when I put it back on?

EDIT: the reason I'm aginst BBQ paint it's because of texture, not price, of course...rought or that textured paint will just trap dirt and defeat the whole perpose of showing off a valve cover.

True, but the black will hide the dirt better. It's all stained and discoloured from 3 years of crap getting rammed on it from the tmic hood scoop. My buddy painted his bike exhaust can with bbq paint and it isn't as rough as I expected. Washes clean fine.
