Anyone have suggestions or links for a fishfinder?
I don't need anything crazy... I hear humminbird is good. I want to spend under $150.
Thanks.

do you want a portable one or is it going to be permanently in the boat

^ that is key. Back in the day I bought a humminbird that was not portable and made a transom mount for the transducer and a gunnel mount for the fish finder.
Back on topic, humminbird is not a bad brand at all, and they have decent models for a decent price. What features are you looking for?

Maybe we should have a tm3 bass tourney next year...! I used to compete in club level bass tourneys; my best was second place. [/threadjack]

if you can find it, the Humminbird PiranhaMAX 150 Portable is an excellent machine. are you wanting to mount it in th ehull with a thorugh-hull transducer, or have a drop in cable witht he sensor? or even mounting the sensor to the external hull?

Hey guys... thx for the replies. I'm looking for a portable unit as I don't have a boat yet.
I was looking at the Humminbird Piranhamax 160 Portable, which was on special for $109.99 at Canadian Tire, but I just missed that sale.
I don't need anything fancy really. Just something that shows depth and fish. What other brands are reputable?
