View Full Version : Leather seat skins from 04 fit on a 08 seat ?

Ok so i have search and tryed other forums and cant find anything... so any little info would help.

i am wondering if the leather front seat skins of an 04 sedan would fit on the seats frame of an 08 GS sedan. Is the shape the same and the main concern is whether or not it would affect the air bag

im pretty sure the shape is the same im just wondering more about the air bag thing

if anyone has a little insight or answer that would be amazing.

Unfortunately the skins will not work b/c your original setup has SRS airbags in the seats. The 04-06 models did not have this feature.

Yes, Im not really sure how it works but I think the seat has stitching that is designed to fail in event of airbag deployment.
Now if you put it one from a previous model, it may fit over but since the stitching won't fail as easily, you have an airbag thats unpredictable.

That's kind of what I thought as well. I figured there was soothing behind it besides the airbag just being added to the seat.

im from barrie and i check the wreckers here all the time but it seems as tho no one crashes 3's around here lol

was that 250 for just the fronts?

well good luck with the wrecker thing man... seems ill need it. i called every wrecker in barrie, newmarket, toronto, hamliton today and they all had nothing.

A wrecker in Thorold(Niagara) have two fronts seats, 08 blk leather 320 ?

i called them today and they told me they have nothing!!! i told them i saw on car-parts and they said they had nothing.

im starting to convert my beige interior to all black. like top to bottem black. my hole exterior is black and white. and i want the same theme inside the can. so i would have simple little white accents inside as well. i would love the speed 3 seats for the extra support etc but it wouldnt go for what i want to complete on the interior of the car. no what i mean

Thanks seems like I need it. I used that car parts finder and it was wrong about the seats three places didn't have what they said and told be they were out of them for like4 months
