I went to a garage today and had them check on my car, they say the left side sway bar link is shaking, it has to be replaced, also the right side on has to replace too because it's for stablizing. Does anyone else has the same issue?
I have a 13 inch crack on the front windshield, it's cracked on past May and growing at a very slow speed, half an inch a month. Can I replace it after the winter season?

Sway bars are usually 1 piece that connects the left suspension to the right. As such the explanation sounds a bit weird. The sway bar is there for stabilizing the car during turns yes but how come they tell you 2 different things for the 2 side? Sounds fishy like they pull out a bunch of words to make the problem sounds serious.
You might want to get a 2nd opinion.

The guy is most likely trying to shaft you for a loose screw, on the stabilizer end link from your sway bar, and saying that the whole thing has to be replaced. As for the windshield I'd definately get it changed before winter for safety

He said the end of the sway bar link is connected like a ball shape thing, the ball shape thing is loose, not a screw or so, it can only be replaced, and when replacing the left one, the right one has to be replaced too for balance/stablize reason. Is it true??

It's the sway bar link, not the bar itself. He showed to me the left side link can be pushed move up and down a tiny bit, he said it's not suppose to move at all.

I will definitly give you a call if I drop by that area. What's the labour cost for installing two sway bar links?

their is no need to replace both stab links if only the 1 is bad. The links are cheap through the dealer and i don't see instal being more then 30 mins to 1 hour depending on what shops charge

I don't think you need to replace both sides, bring it by and we'll see. If there is nothing wrong with it then at least you know and you are on your way if there is something wrong I will show you and we will go from there.
And it should be half an hour labour charge to change each sway bar links any body who charges more than that is gouging.

I had my 3 in for an alignment and they told me I had to replace one of the swaybar endlinks. I only had to do one, not both of them so I wouldn't say you'd have to replace both if only one is starting to go bad.
My dealer tried to sell me a new right side link on my 2007 Sedan (20000K). Mechanic was able to physically move the sway bar on the right side. I asked him if he had a wrench to tighten the nuts holding the link. I watched as he tightened the loose lower nut on the link. I have had no problems ever since. I should have done it myself as the dealer only charged $49.99 for the suspension inspection.
