I had another post at http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?48278-Disable-door-quot-alarm-quot-and-getting-a-new-FOB but I think I posted it in the wrong section.

My main issue right now is that my stock "alarm" (beeping horn and lights) for my '04 Mazda3 Sport keeps going off since I don't have a programed FOB to disable it. I made the mistake of opening the door after using the power locks and now every time I open the door the alarm goes off! Because I didn't want my neighbors to suffer through the alarm I pulled my negative terminal off my battery to reset the ECU (and hopefully the alarm with it)...it didn't work.

It seems no matter if the doors are open, closed or if the key is in the ignition the alarm always goes off when I hookup the battery. :bang Is there any way to reset this or is there a proper sequence to reset the alarm without the FOB?

Thanks in advance!
Note: Yes I am getting a new FOB ASAP!

Ok so I Googled using a deferent term and I found my answer! If anyone has the same issue the fix is to turn and hold your key to the left (unlock) position for about 4 seconds in the driver's door. I guess this how you disarm the OEM alarm if you set it with your FOB and need to unlock with your key!

Thanks to anyone that was looking into the issue for me. :)
