I have just purchased a set of 2008 Leather seats from a hatchback for my sedan.
they fit perfect (yes the backs fit perfect)
the only thing is my GS wiring harness does not work with the power seat on the drivers side and and heated seats on both fron seats. I was given the oem heated seat switchs for the dash for free also.
so my questions is anyone have done this before with wiring power and heated seats?
any help would be amazing!!!
thanks.

when i got my 09 leathers it had the power option too, That i just had to use. On the bottom of my seat(driver side) it had two wires, a red and a black with 2 female connectors (not on the main harness). crimp some male connectors onto some spare wire so that it plugs into the female connectors then hook up the loose ends (red wire) to a +12v and the Black wire to a ground. And your power seat option should be working if its the same as the 09 leathers. I thought that only from 09 they stared making the power seat option? maybe from 2008.5
As for the heated seats if the switches have resistors built in (i think they do). all you have to do is hook them up to a +12v then run the wires to the seats. oo ya don`t forget the ground. you should double check to see if the switches have resistors

Maybe M&D can help ya out...they doing some heated seat special. They might be able to work something out for ya.

so i figured out the power seat thanks to 07m3gt information. all i need to do is get the heated seats done. and i have contacted M&D.
so for anyone else doing this in the future..... there is a randome female connector under the seat with red and black wires. its on its own as a connector and is not part of the main harness. I found out by taking it all apart that it connects to the Purple and Gray wire that is under the seat (these wires run from the power seat switch through to the main connector). so all you do is locate the red and black wires and tap into the for the power and the ground.

does anyone know what wire colour would control the light the on the switch that is the little seat?

my driver side no longer lights up but the light that indicates if the heated seats is on or not still works.
i've swapped the tiny little bulbs in the actual switch and it still doesn't light up. just trying to determine what could be wrong with it
is the wiring broken somewhere, is the harness not working or is there something broken inside the actual switch

IIRC there is only like 3/4 wires... I would pull the buttons and go over the button that does work and see which one has power running through it using a multimeter when the lights are ON. Switch them off and test to confirm your result.
I would be betting on the fact that the wires are organized the same on both switches but just different colours... I know one was a grey plug and the other was a white one.

Way to resurrect a thread from 2010 07carbon3. Well, on that one do the plugs match side to side? If they do, try switching the switches from drivers to passenger and see if the light still doesn't work.
Also, staax he is working on a 2007, you're remembering from your 2010+

I checked the plugs and there each different and can only fit in their respective switch.
took a multi meter and checked for voltage in the wire harness, there is a orange wire that has power when the key switch is set to start position, there is 2 different pink wires in each harness one is pink with grey dots and a plain pink. The pink with grey dots shows 12volts as well and the plain pink shows nothing on each harness
there is 2 sets of black wire, one with a stripe on it and plain black. I assumed the plain black was ground and the black with a stripe shows no voltage as well

Oh my mistake - good catch.
Apologies for the double (useless) post too! Didn't realise I did that.
Carbon, perhaps I misread your post but are you looking to understand why the light doesn't turn on when you have your seats on, or why the light doesn't turn on when you switch on your headlights?
I assumed headlights because my Gen2 button doesn't light up when I have the seats on... it'll only light up when I have the headlights turned on.
Does your Gen 1 do both?

yes the light is suppose to come on when the headlights are turned on and when the key is on the start position or if the car is running and right now the lights don't work :(

Right, but only the one switch lights up correct?
Do as Reddie suggested and swap the plugs for each switch... I believe it should fit. That'll at least tell you if there is a wiring fault or perhaps the switch itself isn't working.
EDIT: just realised you said that swapping the plugs won't work. You could always repin it.
