Vlad just got a new toy for the car and after testing it out i figured it's worth a quick review.

The camera mount was purchased from the subaru legacy forum (http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/fs-carbon-fiber-headrest-camera-mount-110869.html?highlight=cam+mount) and came pretty quickly - after a little hesitation the guy even agreed to lower the customs value so we didn't get overly hit with customs/brokerage fees.

the mount itself works perfectly - holds the camera steady in place, allows for an unobstructed view positioning and if you have a dash-mounted gauge pod - captures the gauges while giving a good view of the road.

the CF part makes this mount not only light-weight but also gives a good esthetic touch.

all in all great item! except for the fact that i think that it would look much better in my car than vlad's being carbon fibre and all :chuckle

Looks like an awesome product and easy to use. Been meaning to make one of these for myself. Maybe I'll whip up a batch as a winter project =)

Suggestion. Might want to make sure that the camera isn't also displaying your speedo...

Edit: I mean your speedometer and not your favorite swimming wear.

I usually have my phone recording when I drive mounted on my dash and I'm hoping to catch a crash one day.

This makes me want to get one of those cameras:

thats a smooth cam but that carbon fiber bar would be a magnet for little hands in the back seat..
