6yr Old Battery - Time to Replace?

So I still have the original battery in my '05. Am I living on borrowed time? Should I replace my battery as preventative maintenance?

oh ya, and I'm running a 12" sub if that makes a difference to your reco..

I would advise replacing the battery at this point. Look at the Optima Yellow top offering from Nextmod.

yeah you're pretty much in bonus time now. especially since you're running a higher elec load i'd get something more reliable especially with winter knocking

I was looking at the Yellow Top. I'm only going to keep the car for another 2 yrs so I don't know if I can justify the extra $$ of the Yellow Top. I do park underground and drive my car only about 2/week but either way, I think that I have no chance in getting away with my current battery for another 2 yrs so I may as well replace it....

no issues or signs of any issues to come.
However, I did do a little maintenance on the terminals earlier this year

mine went on me in the summer time... only 2 years old

In my car before this the battery was 8 yrs old and no problems, I would only change it if it absolutly needs to be changed.
