Putting my winter rims on, i noticed i need to replace a ball joint. Looking at prices, they vary quite a bit. Has anyone purchased lower control arm, bushing and ball joint Replacements from another company other than mazda? Im curious if they will be as good as OEM's from mazda. I can replace both sides for what one side costs from Mazda.

Any info will be great.

I'm surprised. When I replaced my lower control arms a few weeks ago, I found that OEM was the same price as aftermarket. I was surprised by this and ended up getting OEM.

Its a wear and tear part, but it might be!

No, it's not covered.

I replaced both front LCA's. I found buying the whole LCA was cheaper than getting replacement parts. I bought from rockauto, but ordered in the US to save on shipping and duties

You will be better off replacing both left and right. Just to make sure that both are GOOD so you dont waste money on doing alignment twice.

I'd check with Jimmy at street performance, or Peter at nextmod to see if they make any performance lower control arm assemblies, might end up being the same price as the OEM's, but lighter.

thats a big no, but when i needed mine done i fought with mazda since i needed mine replaced on the front corner where i had a million other things replaced so i argued and said that since everything else on that corner sucked, it could lead to wearing out the control arm early, so i paid for the part but got free labor.
