Call your insurance. Tell them what happened. I'm sure since its a brand new 2010, they will cover the repairs and your insurance will not go up. try to get security to get video surveillance if they have any.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. Although I have an 05 with crappy paint I was SOOO PISSED that the person hit my freshly painted rear bumper :flaming

thing with calling insurance is they will still require you to pay your deductible. So try quoting shops to see how much it is to get it painted. If they are similar in price, its better to get it done on your own as going through insurance will also put a claim on your car and thus bring the value down if you choose to sell it in the future

I took a look at it when I got home... a lot of it is just paint from the other car... some paint missing from my bumper, but not much... a lot of small surface scratches though. No structural damage to the car though (i.e. no dents or cracks). I have a long gouge in my car from when it was keyed in August and a lot of people here recommended street performance... is this something they could look at too?
ps: is it just me or are mazda 3s targets for this sort of $hit?
