them roads look narrow. plus the fact that its on the other side of the road screws with my mind.

They are narrow. They were built when horse & cart was the norm.

Looks awesome! Btw...for any of those fools wondering...my speed is back on the road. Healthy. New suspension is in and mint, turbo is great. Tune is getting there. Making some decent power. Few more parts to gather then tuning to commence. For all those who have helped, thanks!

Who here has done aftermarket seats/brackets.... i think tanspeed? Are there any forum sponsors who can get Corbeau etc... Locally?

My upholstery is taking a beating, truing to decide between repairing stock and going aftermarket because racecar. But shipping seats from the US seems like an expensive proposition, and all the seat brackets i've found are for Mz3 05+... Like are all our seat mounts the same between sedan, hatch, speed, gen1 and gen2?

Seat mounts should be the same on all gen 1. Not sure between gen1 and gen2 but I can't see it changing. VW use led the same ones for years between A1,A2, & A3 chassis. If gen 2 are the same switching to Gen 2 speed would be nice

tanspeed3

I had sparco bucket in my car for a while , now sold though :( And it came out of a Gen 1 speed. Bolted into my gen 2 using 3 of the 4 mount bolts. The one rear drivers side bolt doesnt line up between gen 1 and gen 2. I never found this to be a huge issue as it never even had a wiggle with 3 bolts in place. (And I'm lazy )

MS3Edge

How far out was that 4th bolt hole. If possible you could make a bracket just for that one hole

tanspeed3
09-26-2014, 10:29 AM
Yes. That's all I was going to do. Just cut off and re-weld the bracket a little farther forward. It seemed to me that the bracket that I got with the seat was custom made anyways

So...why don't we have a thread for known low-ballers?

I'm thinking of starting a parts-consignment service to help ppl deal with the rampant low-balling that is prevalent on TM3.

We should call it the Crows and Seagull Thread.

This will save fellow MS3 owners time from having to fend off requests from these ppl to meet somewhere out of the way just to have them offer $0.25 on the dollar after agreeing to a price beforehand.

Also, this may also prevent inevitable manslaughter charges...LOL

Sell to reputable members.
Make them come get it from you at your convenience.
Ignore people who low ball the price before meeting them.
If person doesn't answer messages within a reasonable amount of time, ignore them.
If they offer pennies on the dollar in person, punch them in the face.

Honestly I haven't had any issues selling to people on here.

How about in the interest of TM3 any sponsor that does work on a car must be a licensed mechanic.

Since by allowing that TM3 could be held liable if something happened to a members vehicle should the member seen litigation.

Just saying.

I think he meant that that TM3 member would be held liable in court for their shoddy work.... not TM3.com
Its just like at my place at work... we only sell goods to licensed holders. This ensures reliability of the installed good, those who have gone to school & trained in their field are able to make a living in their line of work, consumers can be assured it's not a Joe Blow working on their car...

I also suspect CelestSpeed3 meant engine work.... not cosmetics?

I've seen some shoddy work and some work that's better than licensed Mazda mechanics too out of people on here. I imagine Hyperion will have some choice words for this post lol

I'm not sure what bit Celestspeed's butt. We we're talking and joking around last night with my girlfriend, all of a sudden he's a little offended.
I by no means try and fool people into thinking that I'm a mechanic. Any that I do suspension work in fact, I tell them that I am not.
But are we saying that if joe blow was to put angel eyes into his headlights, use them for a year, and then sell them, he would be responsible for the next persons car fire.?
I think I've swapped maybe 2 suspensions this year, the majority of my work has been small things like painting calipers and hella horns.
Are you a licensed mechanic Celestspeed? Because I remember you charging me $200 to swap my suspension.

Back on topic: Low Balling.

First hand experience with this. As all are aware I just traded my car and had all parts up for sale. I will say that there were quite a few people that tried to lowball when parts we all still almost new. Yes they are used. But some examples are V3 ap lists at 675 usd I had up for 550 Canadian and someone tried to get for 475. I won't name names but I will say there are more lowballers on this forum that people will admit to. And that is just one example of many with the parts I had up for sale. There were also a few members that were great to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone .

I'm pissed off at the fact that everyone tries to low ball everyone else. Like I posted stuff up at 1/3-1/2 of the price of new. That doesn't even include shipping or duties. Yet people try to offer me even less than that after we meet up in person. Then complain about shit that doesn't matter. "Oh the part is dirty, $50 off" that shit makes me just want to through the parts out. I'm not supporting that low balling crap. If you can'tafford something don't bother waisting anyone's time. I drive across the city in rush hour to have people waste my time and piss me off.

Not to mention even after I help you out with tons of shit you have the nerve to lie to me to back out of the deal. I went to look at 2013 Skyactivhheadlights today. They are the same as mine. So really I should have let you sink. When you broke suspension parts and the job went bad who talked you through it. Me. Who's fender roller did you borrow for those big group buy roll sessions and shaft me on our agreement. Then you still low ball me when I sold it to you. Now I'm just sick of your shit. You tried to do the same thing with my brakes. I was going to sell them to you for 1/3 or brand new and you again tried to low ball. If you can't afford it don't do it. Simple as that, then you make it seem like because I work hard and make money it's okay to low ball me. Then you start this whole hyper install bullshit and you borrow my tools to get it started then screw me on the work by undercutting everything. You had me do the install on your car so you could see what I was doing and then stole the work from me. **** off and learn shit on your own.

1. Those headlights you were going to sell to me.... ya..... about those.
a. Screws were missing from the AFS portion which would lead the bulb and light to bounce on every bump you hit.
b. There's a shitton of silicone on the outside of the headlights which I would have to remove, because I could never send that to another person. All of my headights look oem when I sell them.
c. There was condensation inside the headlight...which even your super amount of silicone couldn't stop apparently.
d. The ballast was missing
e. The wiring from the ballast to the low beams was missing
f. The cap on the back of the low/hi beams was missing
g. The connection clips from the wiring harness to the AFS motor has 4 wires on yours and 2 on the others I've worked on, if you want I'll pull out GWN's headlights and show you.
Why would I spend $500 on lights with all of these things wrong. If you had to me that it was missing all of these things, I would have told you not to bother. I told you to try and sell it to someone else instead.

2. You told me you were too busy for fender rolling, you even said you told people to ask me. So here I am, offering fender rolling services. Before I bought it off of you I was giving you $30 out of every $80 I earned per roll. That's almost 50% cut for doing nothing.
And stole all your business? I'm installing footwell lights tonight.... you offering footwell light install services now? Better become a sponsor on your own to offer those services publicly on TM3.

3. I asked you how much you wanted for your fender roller, you said to make an offer. I offered $250 and you can use it whenever you want. You didn't say anything back and now I have a fender roller. I believe I even said that anyone who you would let borrow it for free could still borrow it.

4. I asked you if you had speed 3 calipers to sell you said "No, I don't have any" and I replied "Shame kk". http://i.imgur.com/BunmFYX.png
ALSO, some picture, I asked you if there was condensation in your headlights and you said no. I spotted it in half a second when I saw your headlights for the first time.

5. I stripped 1 thread on a suspension and I asked you the size of the tap needed. You let me borrow it because it was a specialty order item and I'm thankful that you did.

6. When I began all of this you told me just to watch out because people will try and take advantage of me, now no one is taking advantage of me and I have a reputation as a person who can be trusted with other people's cars. I'm Sorry?

7. Stole work from you? It's not my fault Jimmy charges $160 for a coil swap and you charge $200. On your advice I tried to charge $200 too. But BOTH people went to Jimmy. So now I match his price.

8. I never lowballed you. I asked you your price, you said it, and I didn't counter offer. http://i.imgur.com/XFsN59p.png
Does it look like I counter offered you anything? Nope.
I can't use your O2 sensors, so why would I pay for them, and then risk ****ing up the pipe when I take them out?

I'm a very active member on this forum and I like to think I contribute a fair bit. Don't come out of hiding to bitch and moan because someone didn't want to buy your broken headlights.

ALSO
I found a buyer for your FMIC and Crash bar that you wanted to sell to me but I declined because I didn't want to get rid of my oem crash bar but you never sent the picture.

You can't stop talking about yourself in other ppl's tuning questions, including posting your own VD...you can't stop talking about yourself in other ppl's dyno's...and you prolly need to get the last word in after this.

NATOR != helping someone else install stuff

SomeGuy

In a nutshell, what fobio is trying to say is...

NATOR != helping someone else install stuff

From MSF:

Nator, the pay it forward, Fraternity. NATOR is a simple concept of fellow enthusiast, helping other enthusiast. Its about organizing get togethers, helping each other install parts and a brotherhood. Why charge to help someone who has the same interests as you? We are an involved community, a social network to bring together persons, who become friends, offline and make a connection.

Hmm.

Really though, I said "NATOR basis" as in I apply the same concept (helping the community and paying it forward) but not like I represent NATOR in any way. The thing is, I don't care if you're on MSF, a VIP, own a MS3, or a member of some frat...just that you're a fellow car enthusiast who wants to work on their vehicle and will help out again in the future, honestly that should be enough! Besides, this is TM3...I'd like to think we are far friendlier and in some ways more closely knit than other mazda boards and it shows in some of the great members on here.

Fobio

Lookie what I found. The "ignore..." button. Much better.

Let's get back to matters at hand.

Of course, many of you know that I was once passed a fake $50. The thread has been deleted, so it's also understandable that some don't. I also sell used parts, as a member in the general classifieds. I post an ad to sell something that I bought at $300 + tax @ $200, which is stil cheaper than the stores selling a refurbished unit @ $200 + tax. Anyway, it's reasonable to say that there's wide gap of perceived value on here. We have ppl driving Mazda's and even some that no longer do on here posting about what watch they own...I find it funny. I find a lot of things...funny.

Anyway. I find, and I want to share this sentiment that many feel that TM3 isn't really the best place to sell. They then price their items at their bottom line, hoping to avoid the inevitable low-balling back and forth, and they still get back offers that are unreasonable. This is a result of the difference in value perception and it's not my place to set the market place. Having said that, I was more than happy to put money where my mouth is and bought items to prevent erosion of perceived value. Needless to say, TM3 then becomes an hostile environment to honest sellers. They then resort to facebook or kijiji...or even throwing stuff out at the dumps.

The mods will of course instruct us to use the feedback system. Speaking from a personal perspective, I don't even bother. I have enough stuff around and I can put them to good use and afford to not sell. So what's the beef?

Besides personal squabbles, do we have a proactive way to make light of this predicament? I jokingly suggested a shamimg thread...

What would qualify for that? When items are priced 50% of new and someone offering you 20% of that...*let me break that down for you, new list price @ $1500, selling offer = $500, you offer = $100...there's a problem. And it's kinda...funny.

Why you so mad bro...tell them they are lowballing and move on like an adult. Are we 16 and in high school we have to publicly shame people?? I know let's start a Facebook group to hate on low ballers. You are an adult use your words. Tell them to their face they are low balling and say you won't go lower than $x...don't drive to meet them if you think they are going to low ball you...make them come to you they are the ones getting a deal on the part.

Jesus so much hostility in this thread, when common decency or common sense should have prevented all this squabbling.

what a shaming thread does, either good or bad, is that it hold the individual member accountable for their actions. It creates a place (tm3) that if full of real, honest people. And most of us are good, but i see 'members' that have 3 posts looking for shit. If youre selling something, you dont screen whos buying what

Hostility...the true issue here is not hostility by my post...there's some real palpable underlying issues here...that's causing true hostility here. Sure, I call bullshit for what it is and it has temporarily detracted the conversation, but that was well deserved.

My idea addresses the underlying hostility caused by a lack of common sense and common courtesy that many on here expect AMONGST FRIENDS. I think if you take a step back [maybe even look in the mirror] and realize the true hostility that came out in this thread, and realize that my idea is to address what has become an hostile environment for honest sellers into an environment that acknowledges these issues and for a way for ppl to address them...rather than have it stew and come out as vitriolic posts that gets dudes like you riled up over nothing.

Oh...and if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen...you don't see MS3 guys on here bitching about anything I've posted...except that lone wolf who bitches about everything...

And don't get it twisted...some MZ3 guys might feel this is directed towards them, but hey...lotsa MS3 guys low ball too and this also addresses that. But mostly, for those who've been around, dudes like azn_outlaw from back in the day made it a habit to snipe MS3 sales, on wait, you've only been around for less than 2 yrs...so I wouldn't be surprised if the majority if you have no idea what the hell is going on. At most, ppl don't sell to someone and we get a laugh out of the ridiculous low balling...at best, that dude changes his way. This is less hostile than say, so-called friends low balling, then hostility simmers and it gets blown out of proportion onto everyone's face...as demonstrated by posts in this thread...

If this was meant to be hostile...I would've created a thread and named names. This is on a random thread for a reason.

In a nutshell, what fobio is trying to say is...

NATOR != helping someone else install stuff

I didn't even get to address the NATOR issue. Thank you for pointing it out.

Also, someone who truly understands NATOR, the true struggles and how it was brought about, wouldn't use the term loosely, like "googling" or in jest.

Some ppl just don't get it...but by attaching a label to themselves, all of a sudden, they think they know it all.

Let me share another funny story before heading out to dyno day.

You guys know why I started posting on TM3? I joined TM3 before I got my hands on my car. It was winter and I was looking for floor mats and snow tires. I found a guy on kijiji moving out and selling his snow tires and floor mats. I called him up, arranged the deal, showed up as agreed with amount agreed upon. Clean deal...he was so happy to clean up, he threw in his floor mats for no charge. I asked him if he has more stuff to get rid of and he said yeah. I asked him why he didn't sell on TM3 and he told me he didn't want to deal with "the punks" on here. I was new, so I didn't see it like that. I asked one of the mods, Joe, to post up his remaining item for me, because I didn't have enough post counts then...as the price, I think it was for a gas cap door, was really good but just not something I wanted.

6 yrs later...I am addressing this...almost on his behalf.

1) MS3 owners are no better than MZ3 owners, get off your high horse, it's a $30,000 economy car.
2) You're the one bitching right now, I never started any bitching in this thread. You bitch more than I do.
2) a) You are being hostile right now, perpetuating the problem. If you want the hostility gone, change YOUR ways.
3) If you don't like the market on here, don't sell on here...go find somewhere else.
4) Shit from years ago that's long since over doesn't need to be dug up.
5) Junior members are not automatically bad people. I've dealt with people around for less than a year who have been WAY better than those who happen to have a sign up date of 2008.
6) This is TM3, not MSF, and you don't own the word NATOR...get over it.

If I were running this board, the simple solution to this problem would be to kindly kick your ass out the door and not look back. I'm sure you can find a better fit with another Mazda board out there since this one is so apparently full of problems. :rolleyes

Silly MS3/MZ3 owners... should of bought a MS6 and you wouldn't have to worry about resale on parts as no one makes any.

Truth is you will get lowballed every where (TM3, Kijiji, MSF, Craigslist, etc...)

The only issue i have with NA 3's owners posting in the speed section is when they comment on something the don't know assuming the DISI motor is like any other motor. Yes it Sucks Squeezes Bangs and Blows but a bunch of things make it completely different from any other Gasoline Automotive Engine. Unless you own own or have a bunch of experience with the platform you should stay out of it, or not get butt hurt when you're told to kick rocks.

[QUOTE=Hyperion;1237504]1.

Why would you spend 500$ on a pair of headlights? May I start by saying if you go to the dealer these headlights are 1600$ EACH. Then add in the dust covers, the wire from xenon control unit to the bulb, the xenon control unit, the bulbs, the wiring harness for the headlight it self. You are bitching about a little bit of condensation if there was any? Oh and your claiming that the headlights are different from first 2nd gen production to current is a crock. I personally have a set of headlights off of a 12/13 skyactive adaptive headlight and they work just fine on my car. These headlights you were willing to buy off of Paul are modified with clear lenses and painted. which is an additional 120ish dollars for the clear lenses. Know what shit is worth before you start bitching people out. From my understanding you are purchasing these so you can reopen them anyways. So I ask why are you complaining?

Isn't that what price negotiation and private sale is all about? If someone low balls you, then either accept or decline. It's supply and demand. If you really needed to sell, then you would accept a lower price. Otherwise, you wait for a higher offer, or find other avenues of sale

I believe what Fobio meant was certain individuals may low ball after they meet up. Where the buyer and seller agreed to a price and condition of the item already, then low ball after seeing the item. For example rims, complaining there are chips or not cleaned or whatever. It happened to me so I sold mine on Kijiji after that incident. That individual complained about the marks left behind from the lug nuts, and wanted 100$ off on my gen 2 speed 3 rims with no damage, no rash, 2 minor chips. I kindly told the guy to eff off. I personally have no issue negotiate pricing via PMs and or text, but that time I traveled from Richmond Hill to Mississauga only him to tell me he wanted another 100 bucks off.

Ah my apologies. In that case if the purchaser is being unreasonable then it makes sense. Although in your example, if these marks were not seen from the pics, then I get why he would want some reduction in price. But if all info was presented in the original post, and they agreed to buy at a certain price, then there should be no excuse for a lowball

The marks are where the lug nuts touches the rims though. I mean unless the rims are not used at all, those round marks around the holes are pretty standard on used stockers.

why are you sh*tting all over TM3? The MS3 Hall of Shame thread is good but now you let it be polluted with dumb Mazda3 bullsh*t. Clean it up and keep it MS3 focused or at the least, move the useless crap out of there.

I mean you already have a habit of making threads with your username on it and now encouraging others to do the same. Is TM3 going to be polluted by individual dumb ass threads with individual usernames on it? Talking about non car stuff...or talking about car stuff out of their ass?

Clean up our MS3 section!

...and the same pile from you...

instead of addressing a valid concern [not addressed at you, btw], you decide to jump in and act like a mod. You reverse troll other members, lock a thread as a mod, and generally antagonize the MS3 section. It was cool for awhile when Ryan left us alone and we have loki...no for whatever reason, must be something like you regular Mazda section being boring or filled with other crap..that you insist on polluting our MS3 section with your crap.

Go be like the rest of the guys trying to win popularity contests by making your own thread with your username for your own crap.

Let me come down to your level...Your crap is basic. Stop polluting our crap with your basic crap. We have been working the whole time to keep our section clean of basic crap like the rest of the forum. I know you want your crap to look like our crap, but sorry, that just won't happen. Please respect that our crap is not your crap, as we have respected your crap and stayed out of your crap. Thanks!

Your concern was directed at Loki but considering I was the last one to post in the Hall of Shame thread.... Plus, I am a mod. Sorry for acting like one. The Hall of Shame thread is always locked, and I didn't lock any others. Actually, I don't understand half of what else you're talking about. I'll just stop polluting your high-class informative crap with my plebeian crap, and you guys can have your very informative crap thread with no usernames in the titles so it only ever refers to car parts and trouble-shooting.

For mounting AP I use the 3M Command Velco strips.

I had these white ones around but apparently come in black as well.

Works well for simple attach/detach and somewhat out of the sun. A little less obvious too if you forget to take it down.

Nice. I am going to try Time Attack at a few CSCS events this year. I will be in SF as I am only stage 1+SF and have 225w tires. I am in it more for the experience than being the fastest, but doing well would obviously be a bonus!

aren't the MS3's in SSF bone stock? In 2009 the MS3 "dominated" SF for an event so they bumped them up to SSF after that one event.

having fun should be your goal. what better way to get away from the daily grind then to go for a rip on a track.
SSF and SSR are the most competitive classes imo. because of the level of competition, driver skills, and the amount of drivers that enter into these classes. ex. last year, the top 6 in SSF were all under a 1:21!. more than half of them are faster than the UF class lol.

Oh? I saw nothing regarding this in their rule book? Maybe they will be nice to me since I'm on stock shocks and everything.

I saw in the rule book that street FWD was full interior, bolt on mods, unlimited brakes and 200 treadwear or higher tires no wider than 225.

Do you have a link or reference? Not that I don't believe you, I just didn't see anything in there.

looks like they changed that rule a while back.... what with all the shop-prepped cars in SSF, the MS3 stood no chance.

there was a time when the table column for Models Not Allowed said "Mazdaspeed3" for Street Class.

Seems rather pointless on a k04 at least...BT maybe, but meh?

tanspeed3
05-05-2015, 04:26 PM
Nishan wrote his own logic in ATR and uses antilag on his car. He has the standing antilag dialed in. He is now working on a rolling version to build boost during a highway pull or at the track when lag costs seconds per lap.

tanspeed3
05-05-2015, 04:29 PM
And its not so hard on the turbo but more so the exhaust valves and exhaust manifold. Antilag is essentially the retardation of timing so far that combustion happens as the exhaust valves are closing. Which in turn burns the majority of the fuel in the manifold, giving the turbo a mad kick of exhaust pressure to build boost while the throttle is closed.

Speaking with Fobio about the upcoming ILR Track School and lapping day on August. Nothing is finalized as we only just got to chatting but if this works out, it is a great opportunity to get to know and push your car. Then you can figure out what mods you really need. You'll also get addicted to tracking.

August is a long way away so no excuses to get your car running right. And no not having that downpipe installed won't make a difference.

Both. But you need to complete their track school to do open lapping

They might even allow you to lap if you can show prove you've taken another track school they approve of

That's fine but this is a day hosted by ILR so they will tell you to suck it

Track school probably in the $425 range, lapping in the $175 range

Jesus. Ill pass. They will probably make everyone pay for the track school. Not worth it in my opinion. Ill just go to a touge day that is all day for half the price.

Touge has a lapping day at DDT from 11am to 5pm on August 2nd

It's $169 plus tax early bird pricing, then $189 after July 10th or $240 at the track

Track school are for ppl who want to build a solid foundation, correct bad habits and generally approach it as a sport rather than just street driving but faster.

Back on topic...I'm confirming pricing with Ian and will post up shortly for August 8th.

Ppl who just wanna bomb around the track pretending to be racing each other and passing in corners like they're at the Toronto Indy racing in front of McLaren scouts should go with Tougue...they have fast cars and fast drivers. We are doing something different and working a student up to what their car can do....not taking them beyond their abilities and trying ti "dial it back".

Tanner...educate yourself...we're not doing lapping for anyone who just shows up:

We all (for the most part) use proper track etiquette. We would get booted if we didn't. I would almost garantee many guys who lap with touge or Peterborough motorsports club would out drive many of the guys coming from the city and paying double to be "taught" the "proper" way to drive their cars on a track. Learning the limits of your car does not come from a teacher in a class room. It comes from experience in the car. Every car is different.

If you don't have the cash for it, or more likely don't want to spend the cash for it that's fine. But don't simply downplay it soley based on pricing.

tanspeed3

I'm not. There are many racing schools that charge 10 times that amount. And many are good with paying for that. If I was competing in some serious time attack I would probably invest in some "prope" training. But until then, at the beginner level, going out and having fun is the way to go. And if people can do it for a cheaper price to get them going, then why not.

touge hosts good lapping days, so i woulndt knock them for some of the drivers that show up to them (ex, drivers with little experience but with lots of cash). they have many great drivers that go to those days as well.
I agree with Tanner in that you can only learn so much in the classroom, one must learn to put those skills learnt in the classroom into effect on the track.

however, I think its great that such schools exist to enable drivers wanting to learn, to learn at a much faster rate and more safely on track (in theory).

Im probably gonna do the course cause i wanna learn as much as i can about being fast and see what Ian Law is all about. I just hope its money well spent and not an overview of things. Even if it is, always good to brush up on the basics and do some laps with some fellow tm3ers.

No one's knocking whoever. Having said that, Tougue have drivers in cars worth 5 to 10x ours new and they don't have a problem going door to door with them...that's not the kind of lapping day we're holding.

Enough talk...Track School sets up a foundation for a driver to communicate in the correct language that also helps them build on what they learn going forward from other trained drivers. using this language, myself and another instructor have coached a student at Cayuga this past wknd from 1.32 to 1.21 at Cayuga.

This is Ian...our chief instructor, in action this past wknd.

Tanner. By no means was I referring to any city vs. anybody mentality. Simply put, ILR Track School provides a safe environment for students to pick up the fundamentals and build on their driving skills. We are not offering a open lapping day where anybody shows up on the day of. Furthermore, we ensure it remains a safe environment for our alumni that the ppl they will lap with are also trained the same way. There is a philosophy that Ian espouses that roots in track racing with safety being first, second and third. In terms of cost, you're correct, Kevin and other guys, including NEO Motorsport offer open lapping sometimes for lower costs and the options are great. In that regard, ILR Track School caters to a different tracking experience.

I myself started off doing a couple of open lapping events before attending track school. I think the experience of the more recent students reflect the value that ILR Track School offers beyond an open lapping day and beyond, in terms of safety and the learning environment that we provide; lapping is done with other instructors who can and will sit with you and drive your car. Learning is done best from all flavours. The point was never about who can out drive who and I would apologize if I made you feel that way.

Loki and the guys have been out to Cayuga and there are other events at DDT; join them there!

That is a good deal. My only concern with the RBF 600, is I recall reading it should be changed in about 6 month intervals. Great fluid but breaks down quickly.

RBF600 is fine year round. Used to run it through the winter in the ms3 (flushed every Spring) and now have it in my daily driver. The wet boiling point of RBF600 is also higher than the dry boiling point of cheaper brake fluid so you could possibly get 2 years out of it, especially if you don't take the car to the track much.

A way cheaper alternative is the Prestone Ford high temp stuff at Canadian Tire (http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/prestone-dot-3-brake-fluid-0381902p.html#.VZVgq_lViko)... it has a dry boiling point of 550F and only costs $10/450ml bottle (you'll need 2 bottles). Rumour has it that it was made for the big Ford/Mercury/Lincoln vehicles where the senior citizen owners would drag their brakes (heating up the components).

Okay I'm hoping somebody can confirm this for me so I can go ahead and buy the last set of rims I found this Friday. They're on hold so I hope you guys can answer quick.

For a gen one speed. 18by8 and a 45 offset, 215/45/18 tires. Can I still adjust my coilovers to sit low? Or will I need a roll? I'd like to be a good low.

If you want to be low you need to roll your fenders.
You can't be low, no matter the setup and not roll your fenders.
The lower you want to sit, the more aggressive the fender roll required.

I figured as much. I don't want to be slammed. But you've seen my current low, I'd like to at least keep it at that. I've seen cracking and stuff after people roll. That's just holding me back. But I guess I'll need too

driving home this afternoon flipping through the radio stations somehow ended up on the country station.

I listened for a bit then said that I could probably write a country song...right away my wife starts singing

"my battery's too small and my headlights don't turn on.."

I said why the hell would I sing about that...she went on to explain that it's county music so I should sing about something sad...
