Don't tell her bro! Then she won't get mad at you. Lol
If he doesn't then she will just find out because she drives the zoom zoom too from what I remember. :chuckle Unless loki forbids her to drive the zoom zoom anymore. :chuckle
Sometimes the "not telling" bid doesn't always work out. :chuckle

With a little finesse, that will totally work out.
1. flash car with valet mode
2. let wife drive it
3. she will come home saying something is wrong with the car
4. tell her the turbo is toast
5. acquire big turbo
6. ???
7. profit

So out of curiosity I decided to ask my wife late last night in bed if it was cool to put a bigger turbo on the speed, and as tired as she was, she still managed to drum up enough energy to tell me to go F myself.
so....I'm out
This is my favorite post in a long, long time. F'ing classic. Apparently your wife and mine went to the same wife school. :)
Rzapata, love that you couldn't come with any bs for the tow plate so just said f-it and said it was for looks
Boosting, 2 ap's? Nice....
Fywdyl, that's a solid plan, however if she drove the car and thought it was broken she would want to know why I ****ed it up with my stupid tuning and call me an ass
Zoom zoom boy, don't you just hate wife school?
But at the end of the day we shall see

Buy turbo and NATOR install it at a remote location. I doubt she ever goes WOT so she wouldnt notice the power increase.
When she asks about the 1800 missing from the account, you tell her you spent it on hookers.

thinking about forgoing the fmic and going coilovers instead. Not the STs (no mazdaspeed specific application) , but maybe kw v1s depending on price. I have been too concerned with power mods and not as much with suspension. I have the cash for coilovers, and will sell my pretty much brand new konis and put that money towards sway bars, endlinks, transmission mount.
This is all dependant on laksman and alpha :)

Most bikes will blow away a lot of cars to be honest
I bike is really just an engine with somewhere to sit and two wheels
alhope34
01-16-2012, 08:17 PM
And yet it is so much more fun and involving than a car, even just for simple transporting from a to b. The bike I'm used to right now is my buddy's 250 which will only keep up with my MS3 to 80km/h and that's because he can rev to 13k and slip the clutch to make redline power at launch, and I'd just get mountains of wheel spin if I tried to launch any faster. 500cc bikes also aren't too quick and even 1600-1800cc cruisers are pretty slow. There are plenty of slow bikes on the road, most people just pay attention to the fast and flashy ones.

I think dealerships are usually pretty honest with wait times (as in they aren't tell you a shorter wait time to please you). My buddy bought his and they told me 2.5 months, dad bought a car just 2 weeks ago and they told him 2-3months. Maybe hes just relaying to you what he's being told? I dunno, don't really see a need for him to tell you false info when you've already purchased!

235. Well it depends on how wide of a rim you go with
If you only go 7.5 wide then go with 225 tire

Yeah, I know the stockers are 18/7.5/52.5. What I was thinking of:
TSW Nurburgrings 18x8 (5-114.3mm) 35 offset (matte gunmetal), with either Yokohama S-Drive 235s or Hankook V12 235s.
edit: saw Ami's post
18x8.5 eh? Okay, maybe TSW Nurburgrings 18x8.5 45 offset, and they come in matte bronze.

Cannot complain. All expenses paid, including bringing my wife along for the trip, and doesn't count as vacation and getting fully paid to be here.

But will have enough free time each day. 7 days is a long time to be in vegas
If it is the persons first time then 5 - 7 days is good because you need alot of time to actually see all of the hotels properly but if you are just going to party then 3 days is enough.

Conference is everyday Monday to Friday. Taking seminars each days and checking out the trade show when not in seminars.
At night getting wined and dined by contractors and suppliers!
Cannot complain. All expenses paid, including bringing my wife along for the trip, and doesn't count as vacation and getting fully paid to be here.
It's a good gig

I personally like the look of the Interlagos...but bronze > black for rims...so if it were me, I'd go Nurburgring
The last two are too similar to the stock 2010 ms3 rims in my opinion.
I'd go with the first one if I had to pick, but I don't know anything about it, weight etc

I was reading the description for your EBCS, and it's typical (but maybe sadly true) in that it starts by bashing the OEM parts for being weak. But I would tend to agree, after seeing how shitty the stock CDFP can be even with just a SRI/TIH and AP. Not to mention OEM motor mounts, OEM air box, etc.

When this happens, I'm sure it'll be a lot better than the $17.50 + tax that I got. :thumbsup

We'll have enough XT-M5-QS to bathe in. And all will rejoice.

Yeah, NOW they release it. They've been teasing the manifold since I purchased my HPFP 2 years ago. Looks well built, like all their stuff.

Was too lazy to spell it out. You'll have to let me know how the JBR PMM is. I'd like to replace the side mounts and the CP-E stuff is $570 before any sort of shipping/duties etc. JBR is way cheaper.

Yeah, I'd be interested to hear about the JBR PMM, might help to take some of the strain off my RMM. I still keep thinking my CPE RMM (75 duro) is going to go bust one day, it already has and got replaced under warranty... but still!
To be fair, it was blamed on a bad batch of the rubber, and it was 65 durometer when I first bought it (the replacement came back as a 75a). Still haven't heard any funny clicking noises while reversing or going forward like I did when it first broke *knock on wood*

I don't mind it when my car is loud, or the cabin vibrates more than normal, etc. It's just that the clicking noise I heard when switching between reverse and forward 1st gear was coming from the broken bushing on my CPE RMM. It was a nice 2" tear too, on the upper portion of the bushing where you can't see it.

It'll eventually happen again. I didn't want to wait for that day so I replaced my Cp-e rmm with an 88 duro JBR dog bone rmm.
Speaking of which, I have a cp-e rmm that's I'm willing to sell.

+1. Very curious about the JBR PMM. May be a good alternative to cp-e

Still on closeout, albeit $50 more than the size you were looking at.

Did an unofficial 'mini-pull' in 3rd and 4th and logged it, and as suggested by Cobb I looked at the following columns:
Boost (PSI) (should not vary more than 1.5 PSI either way from the target)
HPFP Act. Press. (PSI) (should not drop below 1400)
Knock Retard (should not be consistent throughout WOT)
Long Term FT (should not exceed +/- 8%)
I was running a Stage 1+ (CS SRI/TIH, 91 octane) and I have autotech internals. Temperature outside was about 4 deg C and the car was fully warmed up. The boost on my map is targeted for ~16psi +/- 1.5 PSI, and the logs showed that the highest it went was 17.07 PSI. HPFP pressure ranged from 1683.83 PSI (at the very start of the pull) up to 1837.56, with the majority sitting around the 1700 ~ 1750 range. Zero KR and LTFT (I assume 0 LTFT because it's in Open Loop instead of Closed Loop?).
Anyway, I'll be doing a real 3rd gear data log soon-ish, but what I see in the logs is promising. And it's nice that I can look at the numbers and basically understand what is happening thanks to the various guides I've been reading :D
edit: Oh yeah... car feels smoother into boost now, is more responsive and pulls significantly harder. It's not a night and day difference and I'm being careful to avoid exaggeration, but it is noticeably stronger than the stock tune. And this is just an OTS map lol.
