Check your ambient temperature sensor. Mounted in the center of the lower grill on the front fascia. Either damaged, or possibly a wiring issue
Ill check it out during the day but something like that is covered under my extended warranty right?
I reset the ecu tihs morning and it still showed 10 degrees. When i turned on the car for the second time i got -5 . But looking at the weathernetwork, i dont think its -5 ... Ill guess ill wait it out and see. I read something about it taking the average everytime you drive...
Is the sensor in it's proper resting place? If it's resting against anything hot it will (obviously) skew the reported temperature.

I find that it takes a bit of driving around for the temperature sensor to really get an accurate reading.
Nvm its now at 45 Degrees. I tried looking for the sensor looked through the lower part of the bumper and i looked from above inside the engine bay but the only thing i can find is a small black tower (2 inches high) and it has 2 little plugs on each side of it. Is this the sensor or am i not finding it. ?

this is the picture of the sensor, the top of the pic is your radiator, the bottom would be the inside (back) of your front bumper. the center of the pic is the undercarriage cover
essentially this is a top down picture looking at the gap between the front bumper and the radiator.
i just realized lastnight that my sensor also had popped off that bracket that it clips into, did some research trying to find out which sensor it was and where it belonged. i had the same problem, mine was just sitting on the undercarriage cover, likely bouncing around as i drive.
hope this helps
PS. i got that pic off google images/mazda3forum
note also you can see a bit of the lower front grill on the bottom right of the pic
