hey guys my fog lights wont turn on, ive changed the bulbs twice just to be sure its not that. i have the Fog DRL mod, but i doubt its wiring because it was done by dan about a year ago, ive never had a problem before. i guess it must be the fuse? has anyone had this happen to them before? i appreciate any advice.

check the fuse see if its's burnt out. If not then check out the contacts on the switch/stalk look to see if they're worn out. It could still be the wiring. Good wiring isn't squirrel, or rock damage proof.

thanks, is the fuse in the fuse box under the hood? i believe there is one in the driver side footwell as well?

I believe the fuse for the fogs is underneath the passenger side footwell.

The fuse diagram should be in the owner's manual.

u need to pull the fuse out and see if its still in one piece, unless its one of those large square fuse where u can tell from the top,

i decided to pull the fuse and you can tell its blown, the conductors inside the fuse are broken. im going to go over to the dealership tomorrow to get a new one. i knew it had to be the fuse! i really appreciate all the advice from everyone, thanks!

Just run to CT or Walmart and buy a pack of fuses. They are a couple of dollars for a pack.

very true i will do that. i don't know why it blew i assume water got onto the wiring some how.

Or fuses die with age.

well it definitely wasn't age because i just went to CT and got new fuses and it blew as soon as i turned on my lights. now i don't know what the problem is.

could be just a dud fuse. Are you running OEM fogs or aftermarkets?

but the first fuse was blown then when i put in a new one it blew right away, there is definitely a wiring problem. they are just oem fogs with DRL mod and eurolite bright white bulbs

I'm speaking from a personal experience. I had similar a issue and it ended up being the ground.

ok so my fogs are now working perfectly. i managed to meet dan (McGyver_3) at the La Paloma meet we looked at it and dan realized the connectors from the relay for my indy fog mod were the wrong size so after time they jiggled loose, which shorted and blew the fuse. we went by his work and he managed to find the proper connectors and other parts we needed. im just glad it ended up being a simple fix. even so i appreciate everyones input and advice, so thank you everyone who replied!!
