I know there's a few of us in the 100,000+ km club these days (me, starscream, al, etc). So, what steps are you guys doing to keep the car happy? Preventative maintenance etc.

-Oil Changes @ 4000-4500Kms (usually closer to 4000Kms)
-Daskhawk Monitor and making sure I remember what my parameters were when the car had alot less Kms and making sure if they change durasticly without reason (ie not because of cold weather) to get the car checked out
-Keeping an ear out for any unusual sounds
-Checking all my fluids more often, I basically check my oil level, and my other fluids quickly once a week

Some basic things I do, are not necessarily because of the car being higher Kms but more along common sense:
-Let the car warm up before ripping it
-TRY to not go into full boost before 3000RPM
-No high loads at low RPM, always try to be in the right gear
-No over revving
-No stupid shit (constantly peeling out, gut wrenching the car every drive, being abusive to the car)

I mean I drive the car hard, but theres a difference between abusing the car, and driving it hard as it should be. Like going WOT within 30 seconds of turning it on in the cold probably isnt a smart idea.

Right now I am @ 124xxxKMs.

How about timing chain? Checked timing marks for stretch or anything? Or should I just leave that to the fine folks at QEW Mazda? :)

Let QEW Mazda check it, unless your savvy with using the stretch measuring tool and taking off the valve cover and all that.

I just removed and cleaned my EGR valve (loads of carbon in it) because I was getting low start up rpm and erratic cold rpm idle. The valve moves much more freely now and I don't have those issues. I also sea foamed the car just after I did the EGR valve a few hundred km ago. After the sea foam I did a full oil flush. There was a sale on dino oil at Part Source, Mobil 1000 5L jug of 5w30 for $15. I got that with my regular German Castrol. After I drained the oil with sea foam in it, I put the Mobil 1000 in, drove hard for 20 kms or so, then took the Mobil out and changed the oil filer and put brand new German Castrol in it. My car seems a bit stronger and seems to be getting slightly better mileage, but then it could just be in my head. Feels better to me, anyway. I am at 118,200 kms now.
