looking for mazdaspeed 3 front end

im converting my mazda 3 which just got into front end accident into mazdaspeed 3 looking to see if anyone has parts or where i could find them (body parts) and to see if this is actually a good idea ive herd its not and ive herd it is and do able i have a 2006 gt sedan i want to use a 2007 speed3 front end

im looking to do a full swap in time right now my front ends in pieces anyway since it was in an accident the engines fine and has only 70 000 k on it i will do swap later on on the engine and i wanna make it all wheel drive eventually to i just like the look of the speed3 front looks better then the normal sedan gt model

you need bumper headlights fogs hood fenders splash shield and you still need to do some custom work its not bolt on..

sadly no i have been over and over doing this and i will do this once i get into my work term.. the problem is the fenders do not fit how the speed3 bumper lines up... its hard to explane with out pictures but if you want a chance at all to do it you need fenders or its going to look like junk for sure! lol plus your hood latch isnt going to line up and there are a lot more things but i need to find my list lol

edit: i need to check also i think you will need to custom fab the fenders so they fit the side of the car because if i remember right they are a little longer than the sedan.

Let me get this straight, you have an 06 GT sedan and you want to try and convert it into a Mazdaspeed 3 which is a hatch and then you say you plan on doing a FWD to AWD conversion eventually?

you will also need the washer nozzles and all the plastic cowl peices because on the normal 3 the nozzles are in the hood on the speed they are on the cowling

As others have said, this is an expensive project. Unless you have very deep pockets and are one of those steel workers from last Friday's Lotto Max win, this will not happen.

If you still feel you want to pursue, search this forum. AWD coversion of a sedan from Speed6 parts has been attempted and what is left was at Oakville Mazda. Conversion of the front clip of a speed has also been discussed

ya he is parting it out... he started to a few months ago. It would of been cool to see but i read that whole thread and he tried everything and i mean everything to make it work. different rear ends form different cars etc. didnt work

i would like to see the front end switch tho. thats possible with some time and costume work.

Yeah.. honestly. At the end of your "craftsmanship" all you'll have is a $45,000 Mazda3, that won't be appreciated by anyone but a few of us, and it will have depreciated to hell by the time you're looking to sell it. It's not worth your time.

Trade it in for a WRX or 2.5RS... it won't cost you much.

All in all this project will run you minimum $80 000. this is so true.....Especially the part about the credit, If you owned your own business then you should have some sort of credit already. Even if its a small business.

Since: A) you have money. Trade your car in. Go to Mitsubishi and buy yourself an Evo X since you like good looking 4Dr, AWD. You can also go to Subaru if you like their sedan... wait AWD too!

B) Go build your block, slap on a big turbo and make 800whp and be happy with it.

What will it cost you? Alot!

If you still want AWD, but can settle for a 2 door. Get a GTR, buy the AMS Alpha 9 package and rape a Veyron or two on your way home.

Otherwise if you want your Mazda3, go buy an Autoexe body kit, get yourself a cold air intake, some nice coilovers maybe some recaro/bride seats and be done with it.

it all seems unreasonable and impossible, but we've all seen crazy swaps done before, awd systems from other cars retrofitted into other models. I sort of have to agree that if money isn't an issue, and time isn't a limit, almost everything is possible.

you can always check out www.car-part.com for various car parts. It pretty much searches junkyards in US and Canada for parts that you specify, lists locations and prices. with my other cars, i found a lot of used parts from junked cars that were in amazing condition, and you get them for cheap, especially if you buy a whole lot of them at the same time, some deal can be worked out.

as for the work needed to be done, a lot of custom fabrication will be involved, but like said above, if you've got time and money, you'll manage it in the end.

Just wanted to give an opinion of someone who has seen what happens to a project like this.. We had a customer bring us there car because the shop working on it closed down and lets say it was less then close to completed. It has a Mazda Speed 6 conversion in a Mazda 3 shell, Engine, Driveline, Mazda Speed Front Bumper Kit, Brakes, Coil Over’s.. And the list goes on. The whole inside is gutted and the engine is in bits and pieces. We looked at it and gave a ball park what it would be to maybe even getting it running.. Let’s just say the outcome was..

It was towed off our lot and put in storage while he is in china because the overall cost (including what has been put into the vehicle) totally outweighs the actual vehicle value. As cool as it would be to see running it is not even close to worth it. Our customer may consider a Speed3 or older Speed6 when he returns.

Please listen to everyone’s advice – Do not attempt this.

You will sink A Lot of money into a useless project. That may or may not get completed You have to remember even though you are thinking different engine, 4wheel drive and other options the overall cost to put that into your vehicle is astronomical. Being a company owner or not you should invest your money into an actual better vehicle and sell this one OR do some small mods as mentioned prior and forget the whole engine swap awd idea.
