I'm going to call BS until I actually see pic's of the swap done/completed -everyone has pipe dreams, that is all.

sounds like bs, your also probably going to have to do custom body work to make the MS3 front end fit your sedan.

Nothing is BS with the right amount of money. lol
Its not impossible to do, but on the other hand is
1.) a waste of time
2.) a waste of money
3.) and anyways the lips for Mazdas look really good as is.
Unless your balling and have cash to waste i wouldnt personally do this.
Even though i know its been in an accident, its still very costly and time comsuming.
But koodos to you, would love to see the output.

i don't mean it can't be done, but i don't think the OP knows really how costly this will be.

Very true i remember McGuyver was going to do this to his 2010 Sedan and priced out over 20000 for a full MS conversion and thats just parts.

mazdaspeed3 front bumper is only off by 20mm do to the fender's as for the grill the speed3 has a sedan type front end not like the regular 3 hatch where the grill is attached to the hood and bumper. and changing engine in tme

that price was including engine+tranny swap, fenders, hood, bumper, paint, rental car, computer, harness, and was probably still missing some funds for other misc parts. the good thing is though the 10's the front ends are transferrable without modification beeing needed

Curious as to how much it would be to swap a speed engine into my 3.............ha the day I think that I would ever do this though...

3500-4500 for the motor 1000-2000 for the tranny, the shifter assembly and cables 500ish (my guess) the new engine harness because you have a whole wackload of new wiring and you do not want to start cutting splicing and dicing. New computer the labor involved to remove the dash. Its not worth it in the end. Yes it would be unique but think of the no warranty, if you have problems down the road. I do not have a beater car to go through those headaches. Yes I was planning on doing the swap but I wanted to go all oem parts for the least amount of headache

It would be a good alternative though for someone who has high kms and there engine is on the way out. You'd have to shell out 2-3 thousand for a replacement anyways.. or unless you choose to buy a new vehicle.

Lets try this again
Yeah 2000-3000$ for a replacement engine with instal is about 5000$ at a dealership.
Now if you get the
speed motor............................3500-4500$
Transmission............................1000-2000$
engine harness .........................500-1500$
ECU.........................................200-0500$
Speed front end ......................1200-2000$
Paint Job..................................500-1000$
Modifying the front end ............2000-3000$
labor motor+tranny swap...........2000-3000$
labor dash removal and harness..
replacement.............................500-1000$
shifter assembly+cables..............300-0500$
Exhaust system.........................200-1000$
If mannual climate control you will
need to convert that to automatic
climate with heater box and
controls...................................500-1000$
Rental car/beater car???????????????????????
Total tally.............................12400-19200$
I am sure I am missing some parts here. But you are willing to tell me that 5000$ is cheaper then going through all of this and at the end of the day you dont know if it is going to work?
I ama sedan guy myself but when I saw the numbers it was not worth it. Do yourself a favor and do not attempt this unless money is something to spare and have fun with for you

I was writing a review to IgoZoom telling him it is not as cheap as he thinks it is. And you dont want to changed the motor now but sounds like from your earlier statement somewhere down the line you do want to

if you bought a wrecked speed3 for say 5k ish i only say that number because i almost bought one last summer it was no good front doors back but everything else was good.. you think you could do it then? or are we still talking 12k also i guess you need the right connections ie good friends with knowledge of engine swaps who work for beer and pizza and a body shop who paints for cost lol

People who work for pizza and beer on a project like this I find that hard to beleive. And trust me their is body work and their is "body" work. Yeah it might get done butto what extent? I have had things painted through friends and things painted for a price and the difference was night and day let alone the time difference. Yeah the rear end of that car may have been useless but what makes you so sure the front end has not been twisted? Still need a full exhaust system as you claim the rear end was useless. I am a mechanic and I can do alot of the work myself and have changed a motor in the driveway. (granted was a honda but it was still a full weekend job) when the motor was installed the alternator seized, the starter decided to die, the distributer died, the throttle body didnt work and even thOugh we felt the click and heard the click of the drive shaft c clip popping in Place it still popped out on the road test. The swap itself took a weekend but fixing all the little things is what caught us off guard. You would be super surprised how fast a project can go sideways. 5000$ installed no hassle straight replace or 5000$ ish plus labour paint conversion etc etc and beleive me things go wrong
