Hey there. Our family owns a 2000 Protege and I used to be a forum member of the Toronto Protege Club. I moved onto a 98 Honda Prelude which I currently have. I am probing the possibility of picking up a 2004 Mazda 3 as a track car in the near future to compete in Ontario Time Attack series. If there are any track junkies out there, would love to hear what the most effective modifications would be for ultimate lap times (the fewer the better). Ultimately, I'd like to know if just a camber mod would be an easy mod with these cars? I'm undecided on a GS or GT. Suspension would remain stock and I'd use super sticky streets. On that note, what is the best tire size/rim size combination for this car?

Thanks a bunch!

umm...all your questions can be answered by reading/lurking around the modification section. :P

My searching skills are not the greatest, I admit. I found K-mac camber plates for the front and a little bit of reading into them shows you can get -4 deg camber in the front but they tend to bend and knock - i.e. pretty crappy products. Any other recommendations for camber plates?

Seems like 225 is the ideal tire width without rubbing with these cars and maybe a 16x8 rim (or as Marsh may say, a 16x9 :P). Correct me if I'm wrong.
