For those of you who want a cheaper alternative to the CP-e pod ($235 shipped + taxes), here's one on eBay. I believe it is a stick-on type that would require drilling a hole in the OEMcenter dash piece so as to run your electrical for the guages.

Now don't shoot the mesanger, I'm just sayin' ... :FYI smiley

That gauge pod is just wrong...if you are going to go through the trouble of installing a triple gauge pod and associated gauges into your car (not easy work BTW), then don't cheap out. Do it properly.

This is the same pod I got from CTA Patrique (CTA Motorsports). Local reseller FTW!

LOL... the address should read 45

... and as for the topic:
- yes, it's a cheapy.; but just throwing out their as an afforadable (student) option to CP-e
- the CP-e install was relatively easy, just tedious.
- Wow! CP-e is having a half price sale .... cool! I want a vent pod. Gonna check it out! Thanks

One small snag in the CP-e gauge sale. The center of the ad reads 'US Customers Only'
http://www.cp-e.com/
I sent them an email to see if we qualify.

these guys are always an option and they're local (http://shop.aftermarketgaugepods.com/Mazda-3-Speed3-Triple-Gauge-Pod-M3TGP.htm)...but they charge in USD and must charge HST.
might be cheaper to hop on the CP-e WINTERGAUGES sale while it lasts.

Good alternative for sure, not everyone has $240 to spend on a gauge pod. If installed right (ie, test fitting, making gaps correct) it wouldn't be a horrible piece. I've seen alot worse when people just using self tapping screws for A-pillar pods lol.

Thanks man!
Our dollar is worth more, and these guys offer free shipping.
$35 at most for the single gauge pod is good.
This is cheaper and hassle free for me, as I live rural.

..and to quote J Adams from CP-e:
"No but if you get me a list of people interested I would most likely make an exception."
So, who's right?

Edit: Found them ... http://www.garage16.ca/SearchResults.asp?Cat=3143
... but they're not the same as your's are pillar pods, which are a real PITA to install and intrusive to the side curtain. Good deal all the same!

Whoa! I wasn't questioning or ditzing you at all!
When I asked, "Who's right?" ... I meant whoever is giving me the info at CP-e. It seems like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing over there.
Cheers!

That pretty much settles it. I guess J. Adams hasn't a clue.
Thanks, guys!
