Trunk light mod!

Well this is more for the sedan guys and girls out there.. but have you ever been outside some place with almost no light in the truck and try to find something? well then this is for you!

at first everyone thought i was going to rice out the car with these led lights (which came with a strobe box) but i ditched the box and just used the lights.

so what we did was not so easy but it worked in the end..

1. pop up the plastic behind your back seat! (after pulling your seats down) you need to take the plastic on the sides off to.
2. find the wire that connects to the trunk bulb (please take the bulb out first) we cut the wire right out of the bracket but if you wish to reuse the little light then take the brackets off.
3. mount the two led lights. mine came with brackets which we bent to fit.
4. wire up the to lights and enjoy

im sorry i dont have better pictures but i never thought about it until after.

Looks good. I did the same thing kinda except I used a 28'' flexible led strip and just directly powered it to the trunk light. My trunk is glowing like yours because I have dynamat which reflects the light.

no photos. My car is sitting my garage with the battery removed. I'll take pics when i take my car back out during the spring. Probably sometime in April or may. Im really loving my civic though, $35 a tank of gas and park anywhere i want lol

hahaha thats sick man... i was trying to line up a mazda 6 for a winter beater but i ended up going to school full time and not keeping my job so no job = no money = no winter beater :( oh well next year!

haha do it up guys. last night went out to play ball hockey and it was great its not in the way when i put my gear in and its still bright when the hockey bags in there! def the best 10 bucks i spent lol

Nice Mod....very usefule ....I have an 05 gt sedan....is there any sort of light in the trunk at all?...I am not even sure cuz when I open mine its just dark
