What do u think about putting CAI on an A|M transmission?

Sound difference, of course. HP, maybe 1-2 whp realistically speaking? Its mostly for sound. Your gas mileage may also be slightly better as well

i do i just wanna see peoples opinions on theirs....bcuz i want AEM instead of injen....and i wanna know the difference....btw does AEM makes intakes for AT trans too?

Thats what i have right now on my 06 hatch....but ppl say AEM sounds better......hp is the same..

Lol no its all good...my hatch never had that problem...when i put injen on mine i can only feel a slight diff on the torque wen taking off...

Honestly, it's mostly all in your head. You actually lose some low-end torque with a CAI. If you had a SRI or something like that you will have some better throttle response.

I like it for the sound, not really the performance.

IMO, all CAI's are the same and all SRI's are the same, regardless of the brand.
As for increase in HP, very little.
In terms of gas mileage, it will be better if you still drive the same way as you did before you install it. Most people tend to rev it harder to hear the intake after installing it.

I'll probably get egged for this, but we're all entitled to our own opinion :) I only got the CAI/ SRI becuase of the look. It just made the engine bay look better. I didn't care for the minimal HP gain. I did it strictly for cosmetic purposes. All show; no go :chuckle

Automatic transmission has Nothing to do with installing a cold air intake!

The dealership i work at installs trd cold air intakes on auto's alllll the time!

Some intakes will come in an auto/manual model because the room down near the tranny is SLIGHTLY different on auto.

Just do it for the sound and the little whistle you get the odd time from it is sick especially from the injen and it looks badass under the hood lol
