Hello everyone

I'm looking to buy another flash for my setup.
the ones that im deciding between are the Nikon SB 900 and the Nissin Di866

Considering the sb is over $500... is it really worth getting when the Di866 is only 260$ from ebay.. ( I also have another way to import the Di866 for probably even cheaper than $260 price point from ebay.)

I'm aware that the SB900 has a stronger and wider power.
I already own a nissin di622, which is a step down from the 866, it isn't bad other than no wireless i-ttl

It will be pair with d80 + 28 - 70 + 80 - 200

Has anyone used the di866 before? and what are you thoughts on it? How is it compared to the SB 900? Does it has the TTL function when used wireless

What flash do you have now? I'm debating a Sigma EF-530 Super DG for my camera.

i heard the sigma have a long recycle time, which is a huge factor for me

Isn't the recycle time a factor of the number of batteries and the type of batteries used? It's just refilling the capacitor afterall. (Regular alkaline are crap for that.)

One advantage the nikon will have, assume you are using it with a nikon body will be the wireless cls system. It may not be something your looking out for right now, BUT it does come in very handy down the road if you get into strobist work.

Henrys is having a Nikon Sale at the moment, so they may have your flash on sale. Also check out Photoprice.ca - its a good place to compare shop prices and has saved me ALOT of money in the past.
