Hey guys, well not the best place to ask, but im sure i'll get some good responses here.

So some of you may or may not know that I got engaged around Sept-Oct last year.

So we have settled that the wedding date will be Sunday October 23rd, 2011.

With that said i'm looking for 2 things right now.

Just remember the wedding is south asian (pakistani), so i need to find decorators and photographers wwho have done south asian events before.

If you guys are aware of any friends or contacts who have done southasian events please just reply or PM me.

Given that we also have a ton of photographers on the site, im not sure how many have done weddings and if you have, i'm not sure how many have done southasian weddings!

But if you have done wedding photography and still do it, and interested, please contact me i'd love to see some samples.

Thanks everyone :)

Osman

Hey Osman,
My brother's friend does wedding photography and is also Indian, so he is well versed in the specifics of traditional weddings. He is relatively cheap compared to other photographers that I have researched. His style is photo jounralistic. If you are interested, I can PM you his contact info so you can get in contact with him and have him show you some samples. located in toronto area.

Also, the photographer my sister used is phenominal as well, but expensive. He is also well experienced in ethnic weddings as well as he has done many hindu and sikh weddings. his website is http://www.xerodigital.ca/ (located in markham area)

Excelent, yeah fini, that would be great if you could PM me the info.

I'm trying to create an initial list that I can cut down to my top 5 or so, and then decide in the coming weeks

I don't think i'm as concerned with the cost (as long as it is not astronomical), as I am with the quality of the final product... I have seen some botched weddings in my time lol, don't wish to add myself to the list!

Thanks!

You can find the contact info fro Xero from their website. The photographer that my sister hired is the owner/primary there. I think his name was John.

I'll PM you the contact info of my bro's friend.

We used kphotography for our engagement and wedding photos; and our close friends also used them. I highly recommend them. When my wife and I were looking for photographers our main criteria was finding a Photographer that could capture emotion, without staging the shots. Kelly and Pip were great at this. Price is great, and so is the service. At the end they publish the photos on disk, an you own the the pics. They do not print physical pics, but can recommend someone.
