Hey Guys/Gals,

I've been noticing that with this mild and wet weather we have been having, the first few stops in my morning drive are terrible. It seems like until they're used a few times and get some heat into them, my brakes don't work at all. It's so bad that I almost coasted through the intersection by my house this morning. After 2 or 3 stops the fade goes away, and my brakes are back to their normal grabby selves. Now I'd be tempted to bring my 3 in to get this checked out, except my G/F's car (same deal, '06 GS Sedan) is doing the exact same thing. What gives? Is this normal and is something I'm going to have to live with? Or is there a problem?

Forgot to mention, my car has 110k and the brakes were done @ 92k for the safety when the car was purchased. I believe OEM calipers and pads all around.

I had the same problem. my car almost slide right through the intersection for a couple times..
I checked the pads, they still had at least 70% left. but after i switched to hawk hps, haven't have that problem again.
not sure if its the pad or if it is the weather warming up

likely a result of rust on rotors that will go away after a few applications.
