there was talk that this was a movie shoot. which sort of almost makes sense considering how things played out (ie. how the lead cop car gets out of the way lol)

It's a stunt driver, part of a movie shoot.

I figured it didn't look right, I mean if you were about to be arrested anyway, why wreck your car for no reason? That's plain stupid and not going out in a "bang" in any way.

I've seen an Autoart diecast of an RX-8 done up as a police car. Not sure if it's a legit model of an actual police car, but that looks awesome.

On a trailer related note: Gun fail. Clearly the movie isn't taking itself too seriously, but a FN MINIMI/M249/C9 as a sniper rifle? I hate when film armorers get it SO VERY wrong. And if he's flinching from the recoil of 5.56 he's the biggest wuss in the world...
