So I'm at a cross roads. Spring is around the corner and soon it'll be time to upgrade the suspension (no pun intended) on my '10 MS3.

Anybody have experience or input on either setup? I'm not gonna go KW v1 cause I need to be able to adjust the ride to suit my needs.

I was thinking of going Tein SS w\EDFC but I'm thinking of a DD setup and the KW's Stainless Steel construction seems to put it on the top of the list.
However having a 2-way adjustable setup on a DD (which will see the occasional auto-x or trackday) seems to be a lil overkill. No?
The HKS is a good bit cheaper compared to the KW v3 setup but I don't know how good of a setup they are.

Inputs ppl ... I need inputs! :)

I have been researching the same options. My concern on the HKS is the spring rate the HKS site says 4kgf/mm front and rear. Stock Front is 26.8 N/mm and Rear: 29.9 N/mm . I don't know the conversions to get an equal measurement.
I also want to know the max height, ideally I would only want to drop 1-1.5" but have the potential to go lower.

1 kg = 9.80665 N

1 kg = 9.80665 N

thanks! That means the HKS are 39.23 N/mm front and rear so it should be ~30% stiffer than stock. Interesting.

Looking at the pics, the hks is kinda like the tein basics. You adjust the springs to adjust height. Unlike the Tein flex, HKS hipermax III and BC racings, they all adjust the height by turning the whole coilover down to the tube.

this makes sense..also explains the lower price. Thanks.

Good eye! ya, the other diff is that the V-Sport has "30" settings on it, or so I assume.
Looks like the HKS's outter structure is powder coated (or so I read on my google search).

Thinking I'd save up some more and just go with the KW v3's ... too bad I won't use it anywhere near its true potential since it won't be a track-rat. But atleast I don't have to stress (as much) over rust issues when its winter.

Have you consider the V1 and V2? They're made with the same Inox stainless construction. Tirerack is currently holding a sale on them.

V1's are only height adjustable, not dampening adjustable. V2's do not fit the 2010 Speed 3 according to the KW website. V3's are not listed on tirerack.
