Placebo effect FTW.

TBH, as long as the claims aren't concrete ("U CAN FLY WIF DIS BRACELET!!11!!one!11"), then you could almost view this as a mutually beneficial relationship. The supplier profits off an otherwise worthless product, and the consumer likely gains some tangible benefit through the placebo effect so long as they truly believe that it actually works... So it's kind of win-win, although in a horribly corrupt, twisted way.

I'd never buy one though, personally.
