Igor (the owner) at Krown Lakeshore appreciates the patronage of the memebers of TorontoMazda3 over the years, and is very thankful for the continued support. For quite sometime, he's wanted to do something to show his appreciation. The idea of a SHOW n' SHINE has been on his mind for a while now. But this event is not just a SHOW n' SHINE. There will be giveaways, raffle prizes, BBQ, DJ spinning music throughout the day, and of course the SHOW n' SHINE with People's Choice Awards. All of the proceeds collected from this event will be going to charity (at which point has not been determined).

But don't think of this event as a competition... as that is the furthest thing from the purpose of this event. It's for friends and family of TM3 members to hang out, enjoy the day, enjoy the food, support a good cause, and allow Krown Lakeshore to show thier appreciation.

Is this show exclusive to TM3?

Hey Ash, in terms of who can attend the show and take part in the BBQ, raffle, etc. it's open to anyone to come and enjoy. In terms of taking part in the Show n' Shine itself, it is for members of this forum only. We do recognize that obviously not everyone here on the forum drives a Mazda3, but the purpose was for Igor to say thanks to the members of this forum for past and ongoing support.

As the space at Krown will hold approx. 50 cars, those entering the Show n' Shine will park on the site itself, based on a first come; first serve bases.... so I recommend coming early. All spectators and visitors will have plenty parking available, as Krown has worked with the banquet hall right across the street to use thier parking for this event.

This is the 1st of multiple Show n' Shines I'm working with Krown on for this year. I was able to convince him to choose TM3 members first :)

Depends if you are taking part in the Sn'S. If you are, I suggest you come early as it's first come first serve. If you're coming as a spectator and to hang out and enjoy the good times.... you can come whenever you want.

Figure the roll- in will start around 10:00am. The show will start by 11:00am. The BBQ will probably start around noon.

Spoke with Igor today..... this is going to be a huge event. On top of this charity event being posted on 7 other forums, alot of the vendors Krown Lakeshore carries are really stepping up with prize donations. Some will even have a tent set up at the event itself.

The point of this charity event is to raise money for Sick Kids. The more that come out to support and donate to this event, the more the children will benefit. As the advertisements indicate, ALL SPECTATORS WELCOME. We want to raise as much money and support as possible.

With that said, Krown Lakeshore would like to thank everyone and include everyone for their patronage over the years in this SHOW n' SHINE, but unfortunately they do not have the space on site to address the hundres of memebers from each and every club they cater to. So with that said, this particular SHOW n' SHINE (and I use the term loosely) "competition" is open to only the members of TM3 only.

As the event is from 11:00am-4:00pm, the roll- in will start probably around 10:00am. I would recommend using that as the bench mark.

This is great.... nice to see this list growing. I'm sure Igor at Krown and those from the Sick Kids Foundation appreciate the support.
I know that on the other forums where this is posted, there is alot of interest in terms of those coming to spectate. I know alot of them want to take part in the Show n' Shine "competition" (I use that term losely) itself, but again, Igor's initial intention was to show thanks to TM3 members. I know there has been questions about the SHOWn'SHINE competition itself. Feel free to contact Igor at Krown Lakeshore directly; it's a "People's Choice" competition. The registrants themselves will vote for their peers, as will the spectators. 2 reasons for this concept.... the first is to avoid the politics of a single or team of judges. The 2nd is that he's trying not to take away from this being a Fund Raising Event for Sick Kids Foundation.

i could be wrong, but he said originally there was limited space but they were able to open up another lot and there was not enough tm3 interest to fill all the spaces so they opened the invite. after all go big or go home. but again.. i could be wrong.

To make it easier, I thought I would combine all of the questions in this thread, and all the PM’s I’ve been receiving, into this post………………..




What time does the event start?
The event runs from 11:00am-4:00pm. The roll- in begins at 10:00am.

What is the cost to enter?
$10 to register for the SHOWn’SHINE; spectators are FREE.

Is this a charity event?
Yes, the proceeds will benefit SICK KIDS FOUNDATION. This event has been registered with SICK KIDS FOUNDATION

Who is running the event?
Krown Lakeshore is running/ hosting the event. As we all know how busy Igor can be, he has requested help from various sponsors to help advertise and organize this event.

Is this event for TM3 members only?
Originally this event was just for TM3 members. But with the combination of Igor making more room available on site, and the initial interest from TM3 not being as originally planned, it was decided to open up the event to everyone and anyone. This is a charity event, so the more registrants that enter, the better it is for SICK KIDS. I’ve seen some of the cars that will be entering… there will definitely be a variety (tuners, American muscle, Euro, JDM, exotic). Personally, I would love to see a great turnout from the TM3 members, so please arrive early.

So in a nutshell, this event is open for anyone to register, but I highly recommend coming early as it is first come; first serve.

What can we expect during the event?
There will be a BBQ hosted by M&M Meatshops. A draw will be held for various prize donations that will include a pair of floor tickets to Rihanna’s upcoming concert, HID kit, subwoofer, audio deck, rim/ tire package, and more. There will be a DJ spinning music all day long, and a couple of break performances (that will include our very own FLOODGATEZ). You can purchase tickets for the BBQ and draw on the day of the event; proceeds benefitting SICK KIDS.

How many awards are there for the SHOWn’SHINE?
To keep away from the politics of having a team of judges, this will be a “People’s Choice” event. 5 awards for the top 5 vote getters. All registrants and spectators will have the ability to place their 5 for the top 5 rides. As this is a charity event, we are going on the honor system and will be reiterated at the event; you can not vote for your own ride.

Krown Lakeshore does not want the emphasis taken away from the main purpose of the event, which is SICK KIDS FOUNDATION. Hence the reason he does not try to put too much direction into the awards themselves.




Everyone should come out to this event, enjoy the company of fellow car fanatics, great food, great music and performances, and help out this great cause :D

SPECIAL thanks to Jamie. The beautiful little angel who came down with her father. Jamie is a patient of sick kids hospital, with a terrible disease.
she took the time and courage to come and see what we were doing, what this even was all about.

Her spirit, smile, and courage confirmed that this will be AN ANNUAL EVENT for many years to come.
that being said, i hope you make it to be one for yourselves as well.

At first she did not understand why all these cars and people were here.
Once i gave her a tshirt and received a hug from her, i explained what this event was about, and that is about her and all kids in the world.
few minutes later her father came up to me, and said Jamie a 4 year old, could not believe that people would actually do this for her and others like her.

i can thank you millions of times, but you all ready know what you did, you all ready know you did the right thing, and what everyone should do.

the only thanks we all need, is when Jamie asked us o share this with you all,

" I never knew people will do this for me, and my friends at the hospital.
I am very happy and please say THANK YOU!!!"

was a great event, for a great cause & too bad some people had to bail as the weather was fantastic, aside from about 5 minutes of "sprinkles" it was great! I don't get a chance to enter many shows, but this is for a great cause, that being said I do have some constructive criticism. For me, I like to know what I am paying for and what I am getting. Food was insanely expensive (obviously made some money there) & the $10 registration although inexpensive & going to a good cause, should have included food (or been a little more clear that it wasn't included). The biggest kick in the teeth for me was the raffle as people involved with the organization of the show should NOT be eligible to participate in the raffle. Otherwise, what do you need the cars/money for that we provided?!?! Which (to my recollection), NO PRIZES were giving to any of the Show participants (incentive to return next year??). I put in for the raffle, the show (good cause) and the 50/50 with no money left for any food that I thought was included. Happy to have met some new people and the show in general was great aside from being kept in the dark a little from cost.
