Members' Rides Sections

Would be nice if we had perpetual edit rights on our own posts within the Members' Rides Section. (or even just the first post of our own threads, if that is possible?)

Would make it a lot easier to have the thread document the progression of our rides, while keeping the first post up-to-date, making it easier to find the most recent pics of everyones' rides without having to start from the last page and work backwards until we find something.

exactly was i was trying to do, but later found out it wasn't possible. spoke with a mod as well about this and they would have to go in a edit for use every time, making it very inconvenient for both parties. if the site were to be like a lot of the gaming forums then we would be able to do this just fine but i have no idea how this stuff works so it's really no place for me to say.

I always wondered about that. Not sure if it is possible though, as there may be some limitations with th site

Unfortunately vbulletin does not let us set editing permissions by sections. We have to set them globally for the site, and then either enable or disable for the particular section. In order to allow editing of members ride section for an unlimited period, I would have to allow editing for the entire forum for the same period.
