2011 All-Mazda INTERNATIONAL Meet

Hello everybody,

Every year, 6crew.com hosts a "National" (US-hosted) and an "International" (Canadian-hosted) set of meets where Mazda6 members from all across North America get together to have a weekend full of fun. Well, this year is no exception and we are currently beginning to plan the 2011 International meet. The biggest change for this year is that we will be opening the meet up to Mazda3, 5, 6 and RX-8 drivers with the hope to take this meet to the next level. In the past, we've consistently had between 30 and 50 CARS per meet, meaning upwards of 60-70 people in some cases when passengers/families are included in the head count.

Quick Facts:
It's going to be held this summer in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The meet will span an entire weekend (Friday night --> Monday morning), however, feel free to come and go as you please. Most people WILL be staying over at a smaller motel on Clifton Hill (we essentially take over the entire place), however, the location has yet to be confirmed (we need numbers first) and you are not required to stay. Keep in mind that many of the memorable moments stemmed from stuff that happened from 9-10pm onwards. ;)

Anyways, this thread is to generate interest and to get those who are interested over to 6crew to vote on an specific date, sign up and confirm their spot. Because this is a multi-forum event, for logistical purposes, all of the planning will take place over on 6crew.com. Once the date, hotel, meet info is finalized, the onus will be on the attendees to call into the hotel/motel and make their own reservations. We have always been able to get discounted hotel rates and many people split rooms with friends to keep the cost down.

As of right now, the tentative meet date has been set for the first half of June. If you have an issue with those 2 weekends, then you need to voice up right now.

If anybody REALLY wants to attend and cannot come down for any of those 3 days, then post up and we'll see what we can do. Niagara Falls is close enough that many of you guys could just come down for 1 of the 3 days and still have an absolute blast.

I'll check back to the thread and will post any updates. Try to keep me posted whenever you find out. The sooner you confirm, the better it'll work out for hotels and stuff.

All of our rooms will be sequential, so we will be on the same level and in close proximity to everybody else attending the meet. Furthermore, it will certainly help facilitate effective inter-room partying and other shenanigans!

The current group booking rate is being calculated based on reserving 20 rooms. We will be in contact with the manager weekly as our numbers grow so we do not have anyone left out.

6-8pm: group intro/dinner @ The Keg

8pm-onward: hotel party/night club fiasco/strip club


June 11th:
9am-11am: Breakfast Buffet

12pm-6pm: Clifton Hill activities (IMAX theatre, mini golf, amusement rides, museums, galleries, arcades, casino, etc.)

6pm-8pm: Dinner @ Boston Pizza

8pm-12am: BOWLING @ Boston Pizza

12am-onward: night club/hotel party


June 12th:
8:30am-10:30am: Breakfast Buffet

11am-12pm: International Meet car cruise through the Niagara region. You DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS...trust me.
