So today as i was backing out of the driveway i began to press on the brake a very loud screeching sound could be heard. THe best way to describe it is that is sounds like a whale lol.

It does not happen often and is hardly an issue for me, it just happens randomly.
It was wet outside and very early in the morning, this has happened about 3 times since i got the car, all under the same weather conditions as today.

I own a 2008.5 Mazda 3 GT, should i bring it in, anybody else experience this

It's probably just that slight rust build up when you leave the car outside while raining. I have the same problem with my car.

The first time it happened, I had it checked by Scarboro Mazda and the mechanic said that it's because the place where I bought it from put aftermarket pads. The mechanic also said that it's nothing to worry from and that it might just be needing a little lubrication.

Also, do you notice that squeaking sound when braking slightly (pushing on the brakes slightly while driving)?

I'm not an expert but that's just what I noticed and what's based on the mechanic's opinion...

Hope this helps...

I may be wrong, but it has happened to me before...but only on cold mornings. I've been told it's the ABS. It happens when I brake sometimes in cold weather for the first time after startup. Another thing that happened with me is, in 1st gear, I would rev up to about 2800 RPM and I would hear a loud squeek but it would only happen once. Again, it's the ABS. Just let your car warm up is my best advice.

Not meaning to be a douche, but...

Say what? :loco

Engine revs and acceleration are mutually exclusive things from the ABS system.

As for the OP, it's surface rust on the rotors and it's normal. Cheap pads and rotors can also make this worse.
