passenger air bag deactivation

is it possible to leave the passenger side air bags on in a 2009 mazda 3 instead of being deactivated when weight is too low

When there is no one in the seat the air bag is deactivated. The light just doesn't come on. There are a large amount of parameters to set off the air bag. Mazda just decided that the "air bag off" light didnt need to be one when there was nothing in the seat at all.
