Hey guys Im having a problem, seems to be that everytime i put a bulb in my rear lights It ends up turning black and stops working, I just replaced them both about 2 weeks ago and theyre already black and one of them stopped working. I checked my Idle voltage at the bulb harness and its 14.20 Volts and when the car is off its 12.30 Volts. The only recent mod i have done is Big 3 Grounding.

Where did you get the bulbs?

Could be a short, but my guess in this case would be shitty bulbs because the voltage readings are in spec.

the first ones were Original Ones Silvania that turned black, the second ones were from Canadian Tire, My car only has 41 000 kms on it. I also bought some Led bulbs to replace the ones we are talking about and upon plugging it in they started to smoke and melt the plastic around the bulb (not my factory harness).

If they started to smoke then you have a short somewhere, does the connector have any signs of melting?

Are you the second owner of the car? has it been in an accident?

When did you start having this problem? 2 weeks ago from the original post? How long did you have the car since its rebuild? Could be a wiring issue, Do the taillights work as intended to?

it started about 2 weeks from the original post and ive had the car for 1 year now, the tail lights work as intended except for the signals which are LED and flash faster because it thinks the bulb is out not being a halogen based bulb.
