I have a 2010 red speed3. Car is from Alberta. Got written of for cosmetical damage (front bumber and little stuff). The car was given to 2 journalists, they took it to Manitoba and ****ed around a hit a pillar. Insurance in Alberta didnt want it, car got written off and i got it for 21K including a new bumber and safety and everything lol.
Now my question is how much would the car be worth?
I tried researching it but couldnt find much...
its got less than 15000 km's on it..
Any info would be helpful
Thanks :)

What is "little stuff"? Do you know the total cost of the repairs? (i.e. if repairs were $2000 its not as big a deal as $10,000 in repairs. 2g's is a bumper and some paint not as big a deal) Seems odd that they'd write it off if minor. There's a 2010 with 15K on it now on Autotrader for $26,000.

I see a 7000km 2010 on kijiji for $26,000.
I would be worried about the damage though, they don't normally write off a $32,000 (retail price) automobile for minor damage.

What concerns me more is that jornos were driving it. Cars can be straightened. Pieces can be painted and replaced, but if that's still the original drive train and engine, who knows what type of redline clutch dropping damage it has incurred.

I saw the pictures of before the accident and it wasnt anything huge.. new bumper, grill and a radiator i believe..
Apparently the car was given to the journalists for a test drive.. they drove it from alberta to winnipeg and thats when the accident occured. Apparently it was too big of a hassle for mazda to deal with all this (?) so they said **** it and wrote it off

It's after the accident that you're worried about.
Are you trying to say you don't think they beat the absolute hell out of it?
is the car clean title ? or branded ?

Sorry to say but you overpaid, they dont write off vehicles unless the repairs are greater than 80% of the value of the vehicle. the decision to write vehicles off is that of the insurance company. a new bumper, grille, and rad will definitely not write off a brand new vehicle, have a carproof done it will most likely show a claim of at least $15000

Does it still drive like it's okay? No funny noises etc? Any burning smells, unexplained leaks... not much in the way of details here. The car might still be bruised but not beaten.

nothing out of the ordinary.. i even took it to the dealership and they examined it.. didnt find anything wrong. had the car for almost 6 months now.. didnt think the price was bad considering i live in winnipeg and the prices are a bit higher lol

Well, what I would highly suggest is that you take an oil sample and send it in to a good lab for analysis.

21K for a branded MS3 is WAY to much, car is worth maybe 10K if it wasn't fixed already. Now your best bet is to keep the car until it dies because you will never see that money back again.

it was 21 including taxes and including a safety... thanks for all the info guys. I do intend on keeping it because i reaelly like the car :)
never mind your lucky to get insurance with a branded car
in Ontario there is only 2 company's that will insure branded cars and the price is is way more then a non brand car

in manitoba theres only one insurance company lol and they insure them..
So many cars here are rebuilt.. but if i say get into a huge accident then the car will be considered salvage

Well around this area theres a shop that rebuilds written off trucks and they lift them up, make them look sick etc....
A buddy of mine bought a 2007 Duramax from them for $35,000....was lifted, 37" tires, programmer, some sick hood, RBP grill etc. Then decided to trade it in for a brand new truck and they would only give him $15,000 on a trade in....and it was only a year old.
Also had nothing but problems with it.

And that was without tax, plating etc.. so 40 grand.
