I thought i'd make up a pre meet for the 2011 C7 Spring Tour for this year if you guys dont think this location is the right one we should meet up at then speak lol Thanks

Time: 8:30 - 9am
Date: May 28th 2011
Location: Square One Mall (In front of Sports Check)

We will be leaving at 9 or shortly thereafter to cruise up to the AMC lot Oakville (QEW and Winston Churchill). The first group departures the fall tour at 10:00 -10:30am.

I recommend just one pre meet, for everybody to meet here, if you wish to set your own up for your area, Ill leave that one up to you.

I'll have to check my work schedule too as i do weekends. worse comes to worse i high tail it to cayuga after work. im more for running the track than the cruise.

Hey all,
Hope you are enjoying the final days of winter as spring is very close, with that being said we are proud to bring you C7’s Spring Tour 2011.

The Spring Tour will happen on Saturday May 28th 2011 and since the Fall Tour occurs in the east end, it was only fair to have the Spring Tour happen in the west end.

The waiver which all drivers have to sign will be available on the website and as well the day of the event. If you do not have the signed waiver you will not be able to attend the event.

Pre-run with EMT of C7 and 1-2 representatives of each car club will occur prior to the Spring Tour. The date for the pre-run is Sunday May 22 at noon. We would like for a representative from each club to come to the pre-run so that we can discuss the day of the tour and any other imperative issues. Please email lyla@c7performance.com once you have chosen your representative and have the SUBJECT of the email “PRERUN.” We would like to know no later than Wednesday May 18.Just like the Fall Tour, the same concept falls for the Spring Tour. Cars will leave with their club. There will be a few minutes delay between each club leaving the starting point onto the route, so please be patient. Maps of the route will be given the night before as we do a final pre-run on the Saturday to ensure no construction is happening. It will, as well be given the day of the Fall Tour.

Starting point will be: AMC lot at Winston Churchill and QEW in Oakville around the Homewood Suites hotel
Time to arrive: 9am
Time cars start departing: 10am first group, other groups following in 5 minutes increments
End point: Cayuga Speedway
For those who are looking to take part in the track stuff here is a breakdown of the costs, remember this is not mandatory but a fun option

Pre-registration (deadline May 27 at 5pm)
Road course $70
Dragway $20
Both Tracks $90

Those who pre-register for the road course are able to bring one free guest with them, those who pre-register for the dragway your guests will have to pay $5.00. For those who are not planning to race but spectate the admittance fee is $5.00. A card will be provided to each person day of the event to give them the discount to the admittance fee.
If you do not have this card you will pay the normal fee of $20.

I believe anyone who is driving in the cruise has to sign a waiver. Passengers I don't think have to. And I believe you will receive a waiver once we reach the C7 tour staging area, before the actual C7 tour begins. But not before the TM3 cruise to the C7 cruise.

Every car that is part of the tour is required to sign a waiver. Passengers in the car are not.

I think for a lot of people, it has to do with the fact that the Krown Lakeshore Show 'n' Shine is the next day. So those entering, they want to get their cars ready and don't want all the stone chips and stuff. Plus gas is getting expensive.

^^ for the road course i remember they limited the amount of car, and passing only of the main strech. Its just fun lapping so its open to any class of car/hp/drivetrain.
Hopefully the 1/4mile is opened this time around. it will lure more people that way and leave the road course open.

For the lapping a helmet is not needed unless you have a convertable. you could wear one if you want.

The 130 cars you see arent for the track. Its for the people standing around hard parking. Only a small fraction of those guys end up on the track lol

I've been meaning to come and register here. It's Lyla from C7 :) Hope you all are doing well.

I see there are some questions to the Spring Tour and I am hoping I can answer them.

For pre-registration this is where you want to go:

Choose the date of Sat May 28th. The cost will show $130 which is fine cause when you put the coupon code and submit they will know it's $70 plus HST.

I've been having issues getting answers on how to pre-register for the dragway so I would suggest you call in and register with them. I don't want to say choose the $65 option and it be wrong. Sorry I've been going back and forth with Cayuga on the
website and with the long weekend the replies have been slow :(

Coupon code is C70528...as well best option for those looking to do the dragstrip you might be to call them at 1-866-824-7223 and pre-register that way so that you are doing it properly. I would also suggest this way if you are planning to do both the road course and the dragstrip.

As for the spectating fee, so long as you get the C7 card at the starting point before leaving for the cruise, you will only be paying $5 as opposed to $20. Those who don't have the card will pay $20

For those who will be registering for road course or dragstrip you do get to bring one guest in for free.

As for helmets you DO NOT need a helmet for the road course if you drive a hardtop. It's not mandatory but is an option. However if you drive a soft top then you MUST have a helmet to go on the course.

Cayuga's staff will be keeping tabs on how many people can go on the course at a time.

Actually, should we just meet at AMC Oakville and skip the stop at SQ1. No point to drive, stop then drive another 10-15 min (SQ1 to AMC), then stop again. From Oakville tp TMP is already like an hr drive for the cruise and we all wanna be at TMP.

dude, SQ1 is FARTHER from me than AMC! I am in Burlington, as it is I will be driving East (the wrong way) to meet at AMC. Fortunately, it's only about 10-15 mins so not too bad. I haven't driven to TMP for about 7-8 years, but fairly certain I know the route. Just not sure anything has changed since then. Not likely, but aside from the road to turn right on (heading towards TMP), I know the way :) Ben may be more familiar having done it last year though.

I was told that i had a broken passenger side wheel barring that i did not know of. Thank god. Also that my driver side rim is bent. -_- Hope u guys have fun, i was really looking forward to this track event too as its my first time this season.

Chris, from what I heard they may be able to give you a credit. But you have to use it on TMP days. With that said, Brampton has just stopped raining, and the weather looks to be good from here *knock on wood*.

i would probably just go straight to the course next time as well. Meet at 9am, we only depart from AMC at like 11:30 or after, and we end up getting there at 1pm something (yes, almost 2 hrs).



Run is good, but some drivers think they own the track, illegal passing all the time.

sorry i didnt come on the cruise, i figured it would kill most of the day as i had to leave at 4

total piss off. Waste of time waiting for the stupid drag strip cuz there was another event and some idiot ruined the 1/4 mile so I had to run the 1/8.

Didnt even get a chance to really go to the other side for track. I officially hate muscle cars lol. So loud and annoying

I agree, lucky I didn't register for the drag and pay the extra $20 or $30.....I'm like what the heck there are tons on jet muscle cars there. The pre-meet is also a waste of time, I will come for another day for a TM3 meet, but I wake up early to go to the track, the depart to Cayuga didn't happen until 11:45am for the Mazda crew. (I arrived at 9:15)


You disappear after the AMC meet, I was wondering where did you go.
Next time I think it is better to have 2 captain. (1 to be the first car and 1 stay in the middle of the line in case we lost the 1st captain). It is very difficult to keep up with each other when there are 10 cars cruising around the city.

Agreeeddddd... atleast we got our money back.
I totally wouyld have done the road course if my breaks were in better shape. it would have been unsafe for myself and the other drives to be on the track.

Next year im going straight to the track. i mean the cruise was nice and all but damn the track got super busy fast.

Sure, the white SS does keep up with the GT3....he even illegal passing other cars just to stay behind the GT3. Fast doesn't mean you own the track....the track was stopped for like 35 min due to so much of those drivers passing people anywhere they want and when the car in front wasn't prepared for a passing.

so the s2k guy apologized on the c7 forums for blaming another driver for his error. and lyla's response:



John - I appreciate you apologizing to Raymond, however the decision from the EMT of C7 has been made and will stick. Team SLS is no longer to attend C7 events. You and your team have caused much work for me and the EMT in means of damage control. This is the first time an event of our's has caused so much anger and I have to work on making things better with the starting point, TMP and other clubs. Let's just say I'm not impressed in this added work. We don't need issues at our events and have never had anything to this extreme. All the best to you and your team SLS. I do though respect you coming on here and making your formal apology.
