So, while I'm pretty much set on getting the JBarone heavy shift knob (silver pattern), does anybody have an opinion on the short shift plate on the 2010s? Notchier? Smoother? Vast improvement? I did a search but that thread is old and I don't think I saw any reviews from 2010 owners.

Part of the reason is because the shipping for the knob itself is $13... while the shipping for the knob + ssp is $10 (in addition to the $10 discount for the combo). It's a small part... but if the SSP is definitely worth getting, I might as well upgrade both at the same time.

I have it installed on mine with the solid shifter bushings. Deffinatly more notchier, but it gives you drastically reduced throws. Just be really careful with 3rd gear, you think you are in gear and its not. I have gotten used to it and it doesnt bother me anymore. If i recal correctly it reduces throw by 40% exactly like the TWM one but its still cheaper in price. (I wonder if the TWM one would eliminate that 3rd gear issue though) The shifter weight is huge and drastically heavier compared to stock. If you are running a stock airbox, you will need to prop it higher on the driver's side otherwise the shifter cables will rub on the box. Or just opt and get an intake

I know you're asking specifically about the 2010, but even for the gen 1 it makes the transmission more clunky and notchy. I had it installed for one day and then went back to stock.

I have it installed on my 2010. W/ the bushings and the heavy knob, it was slightly clunkier at first and also needs to be adjusted to get it right (i.e. the problem that McGuyver_3 was talking about may be fixed by adjustments). Anyway, you kinda get used to the clunkiness. However, after installing the RMM, the clunkiness went away and it's a lot better than before.
