Mazda 3 Gear Shift illumination

Hey guys, so my recent project is almost done, I have made everythig in my car blue leds, the radio control, A/C almost and steering wheel control.

Now I was wondering if anyone has done this or can help..

I wanna change the Mazda 3 2004-2008 Gearbox red color at night to Blue as it would match with the rest of my car.

How do i do this ?

This is the original , but I wanna change it to all Blue at night.Any ideas ?

I haven't taken a automatic trim apart but I'm assuming it just has bulbs, you can either get a bulb sock or replace the bulb(s) under there.

so theres 5 bulbs ?, it seems like theres a red film under there ?

that looks great. nice job!. must of taken a long time to do. how many little led have you used? any guess

i used many LEDS.I must have burnt many also. It was a pain for the A/C, but everything else wasnt bad. this was my first time doing it also. If i can do it, anyone can . At least over 60 leds used, over 30 wasted.

Is it possible though to leave the "P" and "M" red in the gear shift?

The P was never Red, but yes, U can make it red and M red, probably make a bracket since theres only 1 color bulb in there and then The M you have to sand of and I used Blue permanent Marker.lol

During the day, My M is blue and in night mood, it stays Blue :)

I was thinking about that today, i realized the shifter wasn't illuminated. I cant seem to find it in the Shop manual. any tips on how to replace that bulb? or where i can find a HOW-TO??

the last step mentions how to remove the silver shroud housing the shifter. i assume the bulb is in there? is it a standard sized bulb? anyone know the partnumber/size?

I beleive its a BULB #74. and you can get any color you want at Pacific Mall

HEY GUYS I FIGURED one problem , my A/C ,Defroster lights and Fresh air doesnt turn red at night ., but all the other lights do turn there respected colors ?

Whats the problem ?

They work sinbce the Led I changed to Blue, but, just the light to see where they are at night dont SHOW. Is it a fuse ? or the Blue Led's arnt reaching the Red film behind the defroster, A/c and Fresh air.?
