only people who know what they're doing :p

Not in North York but south Scarborough, NoyzBoyz, they are experts in custom exhaust...may be worth the drive.

Exotic Motoring. They are in Markham, but well worth the drive.

NoyzBoyz does not use stainless wire/welds. Say it won't rust enough to matter. GT and Quick muffler too.

Thats odd!...? Cause when I was getting my system installed there, they were building a custom stainless exhaust for another customer and i could swear the guy told me they were using stainless welds...oh well sorry.

I found that Hot Rod Scott's does it.

Got it done. They tried stainless wire, but there was contamination, so had to switch to steel. Now I have to paint it with aluminum paint.
Thanks.

any proper, certified welding shop would only ever use stainless wire for welding stainless anything. Its incredibly poor practice and, depending on application, downright illegal to use mild steel wire for welding stainless steel components. Sure the metal will bond, but you dont get proper penetration and it wont stand up in the long run. I'd steer the heck clear of any amateur shop using mild steel wire on stainless tubes....the cost difference is negligible and there's no good reason to cheap out on the wire if you're already paying a premium for the tube.

I agree, but after phone over ten "custom" shops in GTA, and everyone one said they use steel wire, Hot Rod Scott said they had stainless wire, but..contamination hampered my attempt at stainless wire. Maybe is Mazdaspeed did it right the first time this would be non issue.

Hot Rod Scott's has done the bulk of my exhaust work. Not the cheapest but nice people, and I grew up with them.

Not sure how I missed this thread but Shawn if your still looking for someone shoot me a PM I have a couple friends that are licensed welders. I have a buddy that lives in Brampton and does really good work that I could recommend.
FYI, he's got all his equipment so travelling shouldn't be a problem...
