Okay, just seeing if anybody thinks this is normal, or has heard it on their 2010 MS3.

The situation:

- Cruising along at 75km/h in 4th and the RPMs are starting to hit 3000
- In the interest of cruising at lower rpsm, I upshift to 5th, RPMs drop to about 2000 and I hear the whining noise (quite audible). As I apply the throttle gently and RPMs climb to 2500, the whining noise goes away
- No boost is used at all whatsoever, so it is not the turbo spooling
- stock transmission fluid

I've only started to notice this after my winters were swapped out for my oem summers and 18", but I don't get how I never noticed it before. I also started thinking that 2000rpm is really quite low for 5th gear anyway, and that the upshift should have been done at 80km/h. But I just don't think that the gear whine is normal, for some reason. Thoughts?
