Filming in a parking garage is a bad idea cause of the echo it produces. And it'll always be louder than what it should be. Just a thought.

"custom piping" is basically me convincing Racing Beat over a series of emails to weld on the 2.5 hatch outlet pipe on to the 2.0 sedan muffler; not sure if that counts as "custom" LOL. But i know im the only one with the setup atm...

Anyone have a clip of an 04-09 GT Sedan with a Mazdaspeed3 stock exhaust? The clips I've been able to find have Speed3 straight pipes with various mufflers or added SRI/ CAI/ Headers, etc. Just looking for a clip with a GT Sedan with a Speed3 stock exhaust (not the Speed3 Accesory).

Heres one but it's a hatchback, that's the only difference. Sounds very nice though.

i know if u got a speed 3 all u need is to straight pipe it, ask abstrakt on the forums his exhaust is deeper and louder then that

the outlet pipe from the muffler is the same length as the 2.5 hatch instead of 2.0 sedan (thanks to mike liao & peter) which is the only single exit exhaust they offer. there may or may not be an audible difference, minuscule if any, but i can't tell because the CAI is much louder than the exhaust lol.

Not sure why but yours sounds much louder then mine and I have the same set up as you. I guess the outlet pipe shouldn't matter at all. But yea on another note dealt with mike liao myself because I was having issues with my exhaust when it arrived and wow was that one of the best customer service experience.

Just installed an SR*S cat-back exhaust last night with some buddies on straight jacks and stands. I must say it was a biiiiitch to take off the stock pipe, but once that was all taken care of it was smooth sailing from there ;)

We have videos from the stock sound, to the sound from only the headers. My buddy's dad said that when we revved it with only headers his entire basement was shaking LOL

I must say, the new catback is verrrrrry deep and nice. Big thanks to Vip3r98 for hookin that up!

Thanks! That would definitely be significantly louder than what I have now.. How is it on highway driving? Am I going to be waking people up in the morning lol or is it relatively controllable? I don't care about the neighbours its my parents :P hahaha

Makes sense. If I had a speed3 I'd still love to hear the car go but I'd still have a stereo. 45 minute drive to work is enjoyable to me with bass

someone correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure thats not so healthy for the motor, especially in this cold weather. The oil in the car will still be thick causing more stress on the motor.

I think the best sound of the bunch here is with the vibrant headers hiflow cat.

I will soon post my 2012 2.0L non sky set up. Corksport race engine mount (ithink adds to the sound...correct me if im wrong), CorkSport intake, MSDS Headers , OEM Cat , and Corksport Catback
