So after a much anticipated wait (2 months) my Sure Aeros SRI has finally shipped out from Street Unit; should be here by Friday. I had to wait while they sorted out the issues with the MAF position of the GEN 1 SRI. This GEN 2 is supposed to be 2010 MS3 "friendly", unlike the 1st GEN that was throwing CEL's. Once installed I will snap some pics and post some opinion.

So the SRI has arrived and is installed on the car (2010 MS3). The SRI is a really nice piece. I have had it on for a few hours now, and have taken it out for about a 20km spin and seems to be working very nicely. The only thing that I have noticed that seems a little different, is that when the car is at idle and the clutch is depressed there is a LOUD ticking from the engine. When the clutch is pushed in the sound disapears. Is this normal for a new SRI install? I had a MS CAI on my last 2007 MS3 and I don't recall this ticking at first. I am just wondering if this will stop when the computer learns the air fuel ratios? I will post pics soon.

looks good, how do you find the drive?

The drive has been really nice. You feel the turbo spool much earlier and I would say the feel is pretty comparably to the MS CAI is use to have, just allot louder, which I love. The loud idle reported earlier has seemed to disappear after about 30km, which is great.

Just as a recap I have had the intake installed for almost a month so far and it has been running great. I would definetly recommend it.
It sure does look nice!
Glad to hear that the drive s good!

I bought mine from streetunit 2 weeks ago... they were backordered so I should be getting it in the next week or so. Looking forward to it.

It was cheaper to go with the SURESRI :)
Plus they look identical anyway.

how does the sure bottom bracket mount look? is it just a screw, or is it sandwiched between rubber grommets?
the cobb sri lower mount is known to break...

Installed it last night... sounds amazing. Very happy with the product. I am glad that I did this because my turbo inlet pipe was loose lol

Yeah the car was feeling a bit sluggish and I thought it was all in my head because our cars tend to run like crap in warmer weather compared to morning/evening runs. Removed the battery and tightened the inlet but I noticed I had alot of sludge built up in my stock intake tube and turbo inlet. Wiped it all down and blew it out with compressed air.
