Hey Guys,
Just installed my rx8 rims on my car. Now I need a drop of about 1.3''-1.5''. I was thinking BC coilovers or Shocks and springs!! Keep in mind that I want to use my car during the winter. What do u guys recommend? and what do you think of each in terms of durability, performance and price...
this is what it looks like : :)

Coilovers!!!!!! the BC's are awesome. Haven't had a problem with them. Shock/springs combo can only do so much. But i guess this really depends on your budget, they are both around the same price, coilovers would probably be $200-300 more...

Yeah! I personally wanted to get the BC. prefer spending more now then double later. lower it during the summer and stock height in the winter. How long have u been rolling on BC coilovers and whats the winter driving like?

No need to lift it for the winter. Unless you're soft. ;)
Honestly at the height you want coils are overkill.

Overkill!! hum!!! is that a good or bad thing? No one seems to answer my question about winter driving though!!

Well.. if you ever want to go lower it's fine. But if you don't want over pro kit drop then why go with coils? Save the cash?
I drove this winter on my coils all the way down (lower than in my sig) and I was fine.

I'm in the same boat too tryin to decide Springs coils. Would like about a 1-1/2 to a 1-3/4 drop then bring it back up for the winter. Anyone know how high coilovers get? I couldn't find anything on it, but I assume not quite back up to stock height. Definitely want it up for London winters :(

getting coilovers to go 'up and down' should not be the main reason why you want them.
I"m with Dave_The_BMXER on this, just dump yer ish and drive.
