Friend of mine is looking to buy the Turbosmart dual port and found it at Garage 16 for 500 bucks he said. Is there anywhere else to look in the GTA to pick one up for a cheaper price?

I didn't realize they were so expensive new. I recommend watching the forums' classifieds sections. (tm3, msf, m247). alternatively i know a lot of people are running the forge v2 bpv... might be a cheaper option?

that particular BOV is expensive. The HKS SSQV is even more expensive.
referring to the turbosmart not the forge. just to clarify.

Consider the Turbosmart Kompact edition. That is the route I am going based on a recommendation.

i have one of these i picked up used from MSF.... looks stock and handles 20psi just fine.
sidetrack, ami, if you do end up getting a used one, pick up some hair clipper oil (the WAHL stuff is good) to clean off the piston and lube it before installing. do this at every oil change as regular maintenance (very easy to do without removing the BPV with the turbosmart kompact).

$500 for a BOV is way to steep,I got my TurboXS hybrid BOV for a lil over $200 3 yrs ago and have been running it without any issues(AP stage II++),love the quality/sound

I did pick one up used..was going to have Jimmy install. But I'll likely do some clean myself before

be careful with the gaskets, and don't use cleaner or stretch them...
don't stretch the spring either, but get something in there and clean it well.

My used turbosmart didn't come with a gasket. <fail> That reminds me... I need to make one before dyno'ing Saturday!!

thanks for all the help... project is on hold for other purchases in the next couple of weeks but it looks like Kompact is the better option for the buyer. Which forum is MSF?
