Hello

I want to get a new set of Rotors and Pads

Should I go for EBC sport rotors or get the Magnum Rotors.

Thanks

All I can say is NOT the magnum rotors...they're shit. Seriously just go get a set of OEM blanks...they're more than enough unless you're on the track.

Or buy Canadian. Cheaper than EBC. http://www.xtremestop.com/
I got these from Joe, and had them on two months now. No rust on the brake surface after overnight rain.:D

Get OE blanks. Unless you have a heat issue and warping, you may want to consider slotted or x-drilled.

I had blanks on my old car and took it to the track. No fading or warping after a good beating so I doubt many people would require fancy rotors on the road.

Been using EBCs that I got from Peter at NextMod (really good people to deal with) paired with Hawk pads. I've had them on for about 20k (lots of weekday city driving and frequent "spirited" weekends) tons of meat on the pads and the rotors are still pristine. Good feedback and performance. A bit noisier than OEM and that is my only observation (not a complaint).

EBC over Magnum. Not even comparable in quality.
EBC if you track.
If not, just buy OEM Mazda blank rotors and pair them with OEM pads or for improved performance, Hawk HPS or EBC pads.

They are not even the same category... I think you can get 4 magnum rotors for the price of 1 EBC rotor lol

Whats wrong with magnum rotors?? For the price you can't beat em... I've been using them for years, zero problems (note that i do not track my car). Of course, Cheap blanks are just fine too, and are more practical, just dont look as nice.
My advice - buy the cheapest rotors u can get, and spend your money on good pads.

Magnum is shitty....IF you track then EBC or XtremeStop rotors with HAWK HPS or HP+ pads. IF you just plan on driving city at normal speed limits then just go get urself a set of OEM blanks with hawk pads. In addition, TBO we've had enough of these rotor + pads threads for you to search and get information from, no need to start up another one.

If you're city driving at normal speeds, get OEM or something else, dont waste money on Hawks as they don't have the same initial bite as OEMs. I mean, if anyone finds them cheaper, then fine, but most people (myself included at one point) think that these are going to make a HUGE difference to the car in a good way, for a daily driver. They do not.
